Monero team, especially Fluffypony, tries to discourage the speculation on Monero.
Monero team is imho honest enough and hardworking enough to make the coin as good as possible.
There are voices (anonymint) telling that Monero has a flaw deep inside, but I was not smart enough to understand his explanation and my logic tells that if there would be a flaw, it would be already exploited, which doesn't happen.
