Depends on the company.  If you do not trust the company, then it's probably better to buy coins on the market and not take chances.

To me its better to buy when market, I'm not prefer to buy when it's ICO. Although invest during ICI is cool, but sometimes buy in market cooler than ico especially with the way market is flaw this day. And for now I will advise you buy at the market, because the whole market is dropping and if a coin is released there is high probability that it will drop. Even if the project is good. So buy at the market.

The best course is to invest in ICO.  But this is also the most risky option.  The safest option is to buy coins on the market, but the price of coins will be higher.

Investment in ICO is very risky and may be ICO turn out to be a scam so best option is to buy form the exchange.
price of coin when listed on an exchange is lower than the ICO price initially in most of the cases and you can buy from there at a cheaper rates than ICO.
I usually prefer to buy coins when they are listed on exchange.

You're right.  It is better not to risk and buy coins on the market.  And now very often the price of a coin when entering the market is much lower than the price of an ICO.

I would say that both ways are good, But it really depends on the ICO. Is it is really promising and noticable, better take from ICO. If no, buy after it was listed at some trading platform or Ether delta.

Exactly. Nothing is bad or not of worth in cryptocurrency. It is just the matter of priority . Your first priority should be depending on ICO and then waiting for the listing of a particular coin or token at some other trading platform.

Difficult question.  Sometimes it's better to buy coins on the market, sometimes it's better to invest in ICO to get more coins.

If you have good skills in assessing ICO, I think buying coins when it is ICO is a good decision. With you are good at choosing quality ICO, you will get satisfactory results when the coin is already in the market and the price has exceeded the price of ICO.

I did not risk to buy tokens or coins at the ICO stage because there is too much scam. Best of all to find a promising coins at the market. I'm sure that there is no need for extra risk.

I think it's better to buy when the ICO is running that in will be put in the market because when the token will release on market it will be famous and known. But I'm not real sure of that. But mostly of the answer of some member of this forum are the same of what I'm thinking so if I were you listen of what's in your mine and heart and that's the real true.

If you find a good and promising ICO, then it's better to invest in ICO to then get a good profit.

It depends on collection progress and hype around projects. Majority of medium ICOs are better to buy on exchanges. I don't like to invest in long running ICOs, in most cases they are traded below ICO price after listing on echanges. But Fantom and Quarckchain are worth to invest during ICO

Ico price is cheaper than the market price so its good to buy your coin directly from the ico than visiting markets. If you but your coin from ico there is always discount but nothing like that will ever happen in the market.

That is true ( as much as I've seen)
Coins/Tokens are a lot more cheaper in the market compared to the price during Pre-ICO or ICO.

This is a difficult time for most ICOs, and calling for capital in a hurricane is something that no one wants to tackle. Many investors will wait for the token list on exchange to buy because the price may be cheaper than the ICO.

I prefer buying during ICO time. If the project is viable, with the good team, the price can be much higher

I invest in altcoins because it's the way to invest into your future. But I choose consciously in which project to invest.  The best way to profit from ICO is to invest into ideas which are already turned into projects. It is important to choose a project which is aimed at solving real-life issues. If you are afraid investing, start from participating in bounty campaigns. You can invest during Ivo stage and then buy more on exchange, if the project is successful.

I have the same opinion. Now such a trend, when entering the stock exchange all tokens are served in the price, even those projects that have completely collected hard cap.

I noticed that many investors were afraid to buy during ICO because their reason they are cheaper can be bought on market. Especially when they found out  that a large percentage is allotted in the bounty program. Many Bounty Hunters  immediately selling token/coin even lower than the ICO price.

#Datarius

From my little experience, I think it's better to but at market price. One out of ten, better to buy at ICO and with a bit of luck you could make a little profit. I participated in one ICO, which reached hard cap, but participated in more then 150 bounties and looking at a price I can tell you, to buy at ICO price is not what you need! Although if you truly believe the project and think it will make you rich, then my advise you invest ICO price, invest once it hit exchange and invest on the dips, that will be the right decision for a truly good investor!
