BTCZ devs should study Ravencoin.  Success story.

Ravencoin clone of BTC.  Has improvements.  Plus Ravencoin asset layer ready on October 31.

Exchanges begging Ravencoin.

Question: How BTCZ core changed for better?  Ideas?  I guess BTCZ core is coding mess.  Deploy ZCash Sapling.  Then something bold.

Ideas:  Borrow from Votecoin?
           Asset layer protocol?

Yobit usually lists every single coin, especially those that are built by themselves.
What did you mean by saying "built by themselves"?
I guess what you meant is the Yobit exchange tends to list most of forked coins on their platform.
Do I understand your ideas correctly?

Most of forked coins? They fork coins themselves and then they list them no matter how bad they are. It is a profitable business because they have full control then.

The tweets asking for BitcoinZ listing , under the new listing announcement by Binance have exceeded every expectation.
The BTCZ team cordially thank you all for your participation proving how strong is our Community and how beloved is our Cryptocurrency by all the people in its first steps.

We had dozens of tweets with double digit retweets and likes  and a main tweet describing our achievements in just one year (in a jpg timegraph) which concentrated hundreds of retweets/likes , not only by far standing out of every other coins' reactions but exceeding even the original announcement message in popularity!

Just amazing !

We really hope that the big exchanges will one day understand that a REAL Community driven coin like BITCOINZ should have its special position in their listings soon!

We are getting ready to provide ZhashOS release 3 (release candidate is out now) which will be a HUGE improvement in setup time and ease. We have received a #zhashos discord post that one first time user was mining in around 2 minutes after initial boot.

Also, we a receiving multiple reports of ex-windows users seeing a 70-110 watt drop in power usage at the wall with ZhashOS.

Here is a tweet showing a user amazed at how easy it was to activate remote desktop and even using it on his phone.

Bruce Fenton, Tron Black, Overstock?  Good, Good.  Ravencoin have great support.

 Grin Cheesy

Ravencoin true community coin.

Ravencoin - improved Bitcoin features.  Asset layer.  Future releases.

1  BTCZ - Old version ZCash.  Sapling?  Any plans for BTCZ update?
2  BTCZ volume awful.  Exrates phony numbers; most trades.

Why own BTCZ (old ZCash version)?  Buy ZCash - original version.  ZCash is Sapling updated.

Is BTCZ community coin?  Is BTCZ honest coin?  I think not.

How improve BTCZ?  Organic growth?  Create modified, improved coin.

1  Determine new features.
2  Overhaul core.  Go own direction - ZCash independent.
3  Use community fund.  Pay devs something.

Forget new exchanges.  Stop using cartoons.  No more raw, raw.

Improve BTCZ core first.

I  posted a extensive reply showing where ZhashOS is more power efficient than the OP's setup by over 80 watts. Has a lot of pictures detailing the test and results.

I had a some spare time today, so I decided to temporarily slap together a test rig similar to the OP's setup.

I couldn't get it exact but very close and I WAS able to fairly duplicate the power draw from the GPU's to show that ZhashOS is using LESS power as I stated before.

I had to gather a few GPU's from other rigs to do this for the moment. This test rig is using a celeron G3930 CPU. Same as the OP's. I couldn't gather 4 1070ti's, but I was able to gather 2 1070ti's and 2 1070's. BUT I set all the GPU's to draw 148 watts in the ZhashOS SetupWiz application.

So my GPU's were drawing MORE than the 564 Watts the OP was drawing. I did this to make sure I wasn't using less from the GPU's.

I also took 16MP pictures so you will be able to zoom in via "Ctrl +" in your browser to see the details if you like.

OK, so 1st pic is showing ZhashOS booted into the GUI desktop and idling. It is drawing a mere 52 watts. Power actually bounced between 52-54 watts while I was taking some pictures.

http://zhashos.altcap.biz/power/1BootedIdle.jpg

2nd pic is showing nvidia-smi showing the 4 gpus idling but consuming 32 of the 52 watts ZhashOS is using. So theoretically bare naked ZhashOS booted would draw ~20 watts.

http://zhashos.altcap.biz/power/2NvidiaSmi.jpg

3rd pic is a closeup of the nvidia-smi screen showing a clearer view. As a side note, I just realized I left a dummy plug in GPU3, which ZhashOS thought I wanted to be in dual monitor mode and assigned some extra memory and power usage to it. I probably would have been 2-4 watts lower than the 52 watts at idle without it. Oh well, that's what happens when you rush.

http://zhashos.altcap.biz/power/3SmiCloseup.jpg

4th pic is a closeup of the power meter for clarity.

http://zhashos.altcap.biz/power/4MeterCloseup.jpg

5th pic is a closeup of the SetupWiz screen. Here you will see I set the GPU's 0-3 to draw 148 watts and set a mild overclock. This was a temporary test setup. I didn't want to spend a lot of time on tuning it in.

http://zhashos.altcap.biz/power/5ZhashOSWizSettings.jpg

6th pic Shows it in action mining using EWBF. There is a window below the miner showing GPU measurements updating once every 10 seconds. Activating this is a checkbox setting in SetupWiz.

http://zhashos.altcap.biz/power/6mining.jpg

7th pic shows a closeup on the mining in action for a clearer view.

http://zhashos.altcap.biz/power/7miningCloseup.jpg

8th pic shows a closeup of the meter for clarity.

http://zhashos.altcap.biz/power/8miningMeterCloseup.jpg

So this clearly shows ZhashOS is not just like any other OS. We heavily focused on power efficiency when we assembled this mining OS. So that ended up saving over 80 watts over the OP's setup even while we set the GPU's to consume slightly more power.

FYI, 83 watts x 24 hours x 30 days = 59,760 watt hours (~60 kwh)

60 kwh x $0.145 kwh = $8.70 savings per month. Of coarse it will be even more if you pay more for power.

We estimate our dev fee would be LESS than $1.00 for this rig for the full mining month. This IS a "Money Good" proposition and a excellent "value" in this bear market we are currently in.

How do you explain this power economy ?
I tested yesterday the last version of your OS and the perfs was exactly the same as with Ubuntu, Cuda 8 and EWBF 0.6.
I not mesured the power consumption, but I think i is the same to (exept at the beginng when the fan are in high power with your OS).

Hashrate should be the same between the two. Where we excel is in power consumption. Which is now actually more important in this bear market we are in.

The answer is very simple but not as easy to accomplish.

The foundational OS is built to be resource gentle. Similar as google built Android ( which is foundationally built on Linux) to be resource gentle.

If you compare the download and install size of ubuntu vs ZhashOS, you will see we are about 1/4 the size. Our download is around 500 MB and it can install into a small as a 2GB pendrive.

We have stripped away a lot of unnecessary bloat that ubuntu carry's. Plus we also stripped away a lot of the unnecessary running services and processes that ubuntu runs. Plus we are built to run from a pendrive so we have no need for a harddrive and need ZERO virtual memory (swap file).

You add this all up and ZhashOS can use LESS power than other bloated OS's.

Also, we do run the fans at your target max speed that you have set in the SetupWiz for the first 3 minutes. We do this to wait for the GPU to get into operating temperature. We then activate smart fan afterwards and adjust the fan speed downward to learn where it is best set to. Doing it this way is much gentler on the GPU chip.

No sense in slowing down a fan to below were it is going to have to run and possibly allow a GPU to go over target temperature while SmartFan is "learning" where it needs to be set to.

Don't know where you have set the target max fan speed to. I normally set mine around 60-65% on most of my rigs. Unless, I'm really cranking up the power for a Hot Coin at the moment.

Hope this Helps
