Since alts are still tied to the price of Bitcoin, whenever bitcoin price drops so does alts price. The only time alts pump is when the btc price stabilizes.

Generaly if the BTC price fall down altcoin will be followed falling down also and this trend we can say the altcoin only relying BTC price if its down altcoin down if it is up altcoin also up the value i think.

Yeah, aside from relevant news, whales, FUD, etc. a lot of the altcoins are dependent on btc price and change accordingly. |

This in turn could obviously increase or decrease the value & price of Bitcoin because of its central placement within the market of most alt-coin trades.As you see, when Bitcoin’s market moves, everyone will start to trade out of or into alts, but via Bitcoin therefore resulting in a paralleled pattern between Bitcoin and many alt-coins. also yes it is a good time to buy some altcoins there are some undervalued altcoins which have good potential to rise, do your research and invest safely. |

We can assume this is one way of approach on how to handle this crypto as it is the way on how crypto price move. Cheap means can avail easily. If this will always happen as you said then we can say this is normal way of how crypto react in each year.

Most of these altcoins have pumped hard in the last quarter of 2017. As they have been overvalued, when the market correction has taken place, these altcoins price have come down sharply.

Altcoin prices follow the price flunctuation of bitcoin very closely since all altcoin are paired in bitcoin. Once we see a stable bitcoin or if bitcoin start to move in a positive direction as regard price , Altcoin will naturally follow the price trajectory of bitcoin.

I think the current dip is caused by two factors: 1. Binance API fail 2. MtGOX guy selling coins for 400M. But the marker seems stable around 9K and alts seems to get a slight recover. Oh, issue of binance hacked ? Make market go down? Yes, not only there are stable reasons for bitcoin and altcoins dropping low, there are also drops and gains caused by news from media, government and also problem with trading exchanges. This time, the drop was specifically because of binance being hacked and the holdings that people hold in binance were automatically sold for bitcoin and then converted to a particular coin to make the coin pump hard, therefore the other alts and bitcoin dropped as a result cause all money was flown into a particular coin. Now that the hack period is now, market is recovering again and will become stable soon. |

I think the causes of the alternative couns why it is going down the price. Most of the alternative coins will only rely or depend on the bitcoin so if the bitcoin goes down the alternative coins going down too and in he market if the performance in he market are not good and many investors leave i think it will going down the prixe too |
