That was a very nice education and alert you have given. We all have a lot to still learn here on crypto. People are scammed on countless occasions so we all have to be vigilant

Exactly he give us good hints and educated us in crypto world, it is necessary because now mostly new generation are very conscious in crypto currencies by earning. Then other people who are scammer they are ready to hacking our coins, that's why we must be careful about it.

And the most important thing, come from a starting point that you assume that all ICOs are scams and will probably will not finish the project that they are presenting.
You need to think whether the ICO will end up trading at more then the starting point( or offering price), or it will be trading lower, that's the question you should be asking yourself as most of the people won't wait for the project to come out unless they are really connected to the project's idea, I assume it's not the case.

With the surge of Initial Coin Offerings in 2017 and the current price of the coins this year, some people are discouraged to invest in ICOs because they would have obtained more coins if they buy now compared to ICO as the price is half or even 1/10th of the ICO price. Many investors are discouraged but still there are some who are successful with their investments and still choose to invest in ICOs because they know what to find in an ICO just what you suggested OP. As for me, I prefer to invest in a coin when it is already listed in exchanges because there is a higher tendency it would be lower than ICO price.

It is very important to be careful about your bitcoin, we should use our bitcoin to save for long time, the other thing that you will have to do is  buy at low price and sell at high price, it is time to save your bitcoin in your bitcoin wallet and let it grow don’t sell your bitcoin at panic price, most important thing is patience so have patience and don’t sell at panic rating, hold as much as you can hold, you will not ;lose anything, so keep this that mind price will rise and fall but you will have to face the situation.

Very nice advise, I also want to add, since you are into the crypto world, always make sure that the security of devce is up to date, never share your device with anyone and use only a trusted internet provider, never use a public internet, they might hack your system and once they do, they might use is it against you and try to breach in to your system and take your coins, the same also goes if you have a cold storage, never give out your password to anyone, they might hack you and take care of your devices, since we are using 2fa, it will take time for us to retrieve our accounts once 1 is missing, also do not save any information in your device, make sure to save it on a different device or simply write it down, though it may take time, it is better to be secured than sorry.

The price fall of the token is happening only because of the investors who will sell their holdings when it is listed on exchanges but it doesn't mean that is scam, the supply of that coin or token increased so the price has fallen bit if it is really a good project in future it will regain its lost value by having its own investors.

Perfect, if hold the coins after the coin launches then we find the marketplace supply has been reduced and we can see the token price up for sure. This has been done by the investors and project holders only. If they did not sell the tokens to make the money out it.
Those coins will show the marketplace value for sure in some months.
May be you guys can find the value as more than 5 USD for the concern tokens.

~snip~
There are few things which we can check to avoid scams.

1. Do check their whitepaper , if you don't have any technical knowledge then you can take help from google to comes to know about project reviews because there are many website who review about ICO's
2. Do check their Team members, try to find their social accounts and do some background about them and their past experience.
3. Check out their Roadmap, check out discussion of projects on bitcointalk, reddit, telegram and other social channels.
4. Check their partnership details. Try to contact their partners to confirm it.

~snip~
It is very important to avoid invest or joining on scam ICO. Sometimes doing deep research are still not enough, because basically invest in ico are speculation only, but yes you can minimize that risk by taking research about who the project running behind and how the will solve the problem that will happen related about their node network. My based experienced, i will take invest on ico when those dev people behind of it are competent people that ready to launch that project.

Yes,some coins will have very good value after some days of the price fall, but many tokens won't recover from the price fakks and the project team also will leave it if they can't make much profits from that then the investors are just left with useless tokens that is why we need to look for the reputable project team before investing on that project.

Well, I am totally agree with you. Before starting in this field (choosing ICO), everyone must have a thorough knowledge in the basics of ICO. Moreover, I see that there is a ton of fake or scam ICO'S in the whole internet and unfortunately, it is very widespread, due to many people are easily fooled and the weak point of many of them is "The greed". Plus, they always want to make a lot of money in an easy way such as, Airdrop....

In addition to that, the scammers are everywhere, In fact, we must be careful of them, and not rushing to choose the ICO, and for me, I think the most easy way to know that ICO is real or fake (When you have a good knowledge in that field) is reading the Whitepaper . and if you know that there are a technical errors, then there is a great possibility that this it is a scam.
Be careful guys.

Investment are not sell their holders, the ICO organizers are usually who sells their coins, even though they received huge amount of money in the ICO, in most of the ICOs, the organizers still decides to hold most of the coins for themself.

I don't agree with you and I actually think the opposite, a good project won't fall when it's start trading as it shows a dis-belief from the investors, a good project will keep it's way clear to the top( where the project actually goes live), sadly most of the ICOs find themself in the junk after few months as no development has been made.

Hello everyone,

I am in crypto world from August 2017 and learn a lot and still have to learn a lot.

Let me share few things with you which are very important.

How to find weather ICO is scam or not

There are few things which we can check to avoid scams.

1. Do check their whitepaper , if you don't have any technical knowledge then you can take help from google to comes to know about project reviews because there are many website who review about ICO's
2. Do check their Team members, try to find their social accounts and do some background about them and their past experience.
3. Check out their Roadmap, check out discussion of projects on bitcointalk, reddit, telegram and other social channels.
4. Check their partnership details. Try to contact their partners to confirm it.
We are really in the environment with lots of ico scam projects. This is the best lesson for me. Your sharing will be very relevant and effective. I need it to learn the upcoming ico options.

Thats right we really need to search first to avoid scams. Its better to be careful than sorry.
Having the maximum amount of knowledge and that using that knowledge in the best possible manner is the only thing which can help you in some good way as this will help you in understanding the market in a better way and that you will then be able to make some smarter decision which will result in your profit. You need to keep your eyes open and you need to keep a close eye on the market.

Knowledge isnt the only way we need because as far as i know , we also need a patience and a dedication as well as some other key values or traits in order to support our knowledge.  there are lots of scams in the world of crypto , that is why we need a proper knowledge to do a lot of research before we invest  , so that we can posibly avoid them . Cryptos are also known to be more volatile than any other regular currencies , thats why we need a lot of patience and dedication to keep on hodling , in order to achieve the success that we are always looking for.

Legit points, but you have scams everywhere! the only difference is that the procentual scamming rate is higher in the internet and therefore probably also higher in connection to crypto currencies. But a lot of people made a lot of money with crypto currencies and they are likely more careless as they ususually would with real life investments.

If you have invested your money into any of the crypto currency and that you want to make some good profit out of the investment which you have made, then you can only do that when you will be having enough of the knowledge with yourself and that you have enough skills which can help you in making the right decision. Keep your nerves under your control and never ever make any hasty decision.

I think that one should keep the risk in mind while investing in crypto world. If he has the courage to deal with all circumstances then he can invest in bitcoin and other coins. The second thing is that it is not for short time. He will have to invest for long time because in short time he may lose his money due to volatility in the price but in ling term he surely will make money from his investment.

It is totally the matter of time that the price jumped too much and was more than the price today but and all the predictions about the price were wrong. When the price was 3k many people said that it will cross 5k till the end of the year 2017, but we saw that it cross 19000. It means that nobody can say exactly what will happen in the future about bitcoin.

I dont believe such thing that people online are more careless compared into real life investment i will tell you that it would be just still the same on where if a particular person is very keen on scamming scenarios or things he would really always be the same either on online or real life businesses.Scams are everywhere which there are really people who do took advantage for those people who do lack knowledge when we are just starting we are really prone into that thing.
