Weren't they also in jeopardy with their bank institution a few months back? There was an investigation launched, and they were then unable to process any wires after that point.

So, if true:

* No bank capabilities for receiving money
* No credit card capabilities
* No paypal
* No bitpay

^-- All were guaranteed methods to customers, and now they have none of them.

Hand them cash in an alley and hope they don't rob you of your shoes.

Can't they just use any old bitcoin client wallet? Why this BitPay in the first place? Next they will ask you to send the funds via Western Union through Nigeria, or have you send cash through the mail. LOL

Have these scammers delivered anything yet besides excuses on more delays?

They've been delivering nothing but forum bans.  Wink
Sadly Correct, they ban me for saying they are scammers in January 2014

Happy New Years to all, and especially to those screwed by Alpha-Sprouts Tech.

Even if you had your Vipers and they actually ran to spec, the 250Mh/s unit would be earning a whopping $8.17 after paying $4.50 for power (assuming 0.10 per KWH). Calculating a 10% increase in difficulty each month means you have no hope of ever seeing a return on your investment. Besides, these numbers are assuming you have the units in hand. After waiting another 6 months for them to run out of excuses and finally ship their product, they will essentially be worthless.

I'm personally not expecting a shipping date until at least the 50mhs units are costing $.0.01 more to run than they can mine.

In Europe it's even worse, since we pay around $0,35 per KWh of electricity.
Mining Litecoin after power costs will lose you over $4 a day.
And due to more difficulty that amount rises each day...
I still don't understand how it's possible that people are still mining coins, even with free power, you would make more money working at McDonalds than spending time on mining....

So even the Dutch will lose money mining LTC, even if AT would deliver today and give all their miners away for free and without import duties...
Not strange all ASIC companies will go bankrupt, selling shit for 10K that makes you lose money each day...

If you had your promised 250Mh/s Vipers you would be earning, assuming in a perfect world you'd be earning about $5 in profit paying $5 in power and pool fees. Assuming 0.10 cents per KWH. In reality you'll be lucky to hit 75% of your daily mining calculations due to pool lag, bad pool luck, pool fees, and poor pool performance. If they don't ship their customer's miners soon there's going to be no meat on the bone at all. Just a bone, one that been picked clean. Thank you for your business, we will be opening batch two for those who didn't learn their lessons the first time around. Either that or they'll go bankrupt. Why they haven't already confounds the mind. It would protect them from all these court judgments against them. Unless they plan on stalling all of that until they have no choice but to fold. This place is really a disappointment to put it lightly. Can you believe it's been about a year since people paid for their products that would be shipped in 6 months, sounds crazy looking back that anyone would believe their crazy claims in the first place.

I remember a while ago someone on here saying how they were persuing 2 separate claims. One against alpha the company, and another claim against the individual, Akram. Whoever it was, did they successfully win the judgement against Akram individually? I've heard of the cases of Alpha losing but not paying up, but not of any cases of Akram losing. It would seem to me to be more likely to get your money back if you have a judgement against the individual rather than the business as the business can just wind down and dissapear. The person cannot as easily dissapear, and if he comes back to Britain, may be more easily traceable by debt collectors.

The problem is that alpha is a limited company. That means that liability for any debt that the company has is limited to the company only. The directors, in person, are immune against any claim for money.

It is very, very difficult to make a claim against a director in person. You basically have to prove that they were stealing money from the company before the company disappeared.

difficult but not impossible.... called "piercing the corporate veil"

Been there and done that. Waiting on the judgment hard copy then sending the bailiffs to Mr Akram. I HAVE a personal judgment against Mohamed Akram and against AT so i intend to summon him to court to explain where the money is if i don't get anything out of him. If he does not turn up he is in contempt of court and a warrant for his arrest will be issued. I intend to post the date and location here if you want to have a chat with him. Expect news in a month or two..... If there is still nothing i will go after the other directors up to 7 years previous but i think they will have a lot of explaining to do to the Official Receiver at the Insolvency Service when it finally goes pop. Also i note they have updated their address on companies house. This is a mistake for him as he has declared they they are a virtual company. So his home is his office and High court Sheriffs are entitled to FORCE ENTRY on premises where the business is being operated from, ANY premises where it is being operated from. it will be a slow but painful year for Mr Akram and family. Sheriffs also seize a lot of assets to cover their costs. Cars, computers, TVs, iPhones.....
