If you are an newbie in a world of cryptocurrency, you can invest ~100$ in one altcoin. Try to learn more about this market, and then invest more your funds, but no more than you are ready to lose.

I can tell you by my own example. When I first invested in the crypt, I have chosen 2 coins for the long term and invested 70 bucks. And I was lucky in a year to make a profit.

This is decided according to its own situation. Basically it is to use idle money to invest, rather than investing with the main money, because the risk here is very large and you simply cannot imagine it in the stock market.

I started investing with $ 1,000, you can buy a few coins and test your strength, knowledge, intuition. Then you better understand the exchange and you can invest more.

I think you could start with 50-100$, then it makes sense to add only according to how well you understand this subject. just to increase, no one will - in any case it will be only from acquaintance with the subject

I think minimum 100-200$ is a good amount of investment. But If you have more money that you carry to loss then you invest more. One thinks to remind If you invest a big amount of money, you will get very good profit. But Its risky. So no risk, no gain  Grin

Each has its own amount, it will not be possible to determine the correct amount of money invested. but I think so it should be an amount that is not terrible to lose in case of failure.

What is a good amount to start with when investing into crypto?

I see lots of posts about “I have $100 / $200, what should I buy” and most of the time the answers are with that amount just invest in an ICO etc etc.

I would be interested to know what people here consider a good starting amount to invest...and I know the basics of not investing more than you can afford to loose but for arguements sake, what’s a good number to start with?

I’m not so much interested from a whale perspective of investing like $500k or $1mill, more so the normal everyday average joe male/female investor who wants to dabble in the crypto market. Would it be $1k, $2k, $5k, $10k, $20k etc? People new to the game or interested to start investing in this space may find this useful so they know a rough number which would be a good starting point before turning  that into riches (the obvious dream).

For reference I initially started with about $3k (it’s not loads but it was a start) and over time I’ve added more and more (it gets addicting) into the pot as and when I have the money to spend and when the time seems good to buy.
I would say $5-10K would be a strong number. You will just see more upside if you pick a few winners.

Naming price to invest for new investors to me can be risky, investment is actually risky itself and the saying around has always be to invest what u can afford to lose. Investing all you have on a project is also a risk, whatever you plan to invest split it into your well researches projects just like every other investment strategy. If one fails others won't and your profit taking will be staggered

I believe that the minimum amount for investing in the cryptocurrency market is $1000. But do not count on a large profit from this amount.

I think it does not matter how much money you invest, I'm investing %70 of my money to crypto, sometimes I'm rising this rate and sometimes dropping but roughly it is %70 for the crypto world.

Any money you have is good to start. But that money should be valued in USD. Also you don't have to get involved with worthless coins and pump and dump else you are in for some bad stuff. Don't expect a million dollars too else greed will rekt you

I think that you need decide how much you will invest. We don't know your personal financial situation so we can't tell you how much to invest. It's depends how much knowledges about trading crypto you have.
I would recommend you to invest amount that if you lose you won't regret.

Crypto is a highly volatile and risky market, never invest more than you can afford to lose. Investing the extra money will help in not panicking when the price drops or due to some FUD. There is one thing that must be considered: every possible profit will always be accompanied by possible loss.  Learn the ins and outs of cryptocurrency and which investment model to match, before you actually spend as much money as Bitcoin investment.

any amount is a good investment,
actually it is not based on the amount that you can invest, it is on the token or coin you will invest.
be sure that you are not giving the hundred percent of what you have or can. just simply 50 or better 30 percent.
giving too much will make you not in a good state. as crypto is very volatile.
