if the bitcoin price remains stable as it is today and does not decrease significantly, I think ethereum and ripple can not replace bitcoin easily

At this point, it isn't possible to replace bitcoin by other currencies. And especially by ripple. If it ever happened then eth has the best chance to do it. But this is probably a distant future if it's possible at all.

Ethereum has been use widely for ICO purchase which have given this coin a high recognition. And also ripple has been on test for her technology in financial institutions to use since it can process trasactions than bitcoin. Will these two coins replace bitcoin and become number 1 on the coinmarketcap
I think only ethereum can it. Because Ethereum is a most popular coin after bitcoin . Maximum investor and traders like ethereum as like bitcoin. But ripple will not be able to bitcoin

Ethereum may have a network in terms ICO or many tokens that are ETH based and that is indeed popular. However, bitcoin not be replaced by ETH for quite long time.

I think Ripple is not in the race. Ethereum is a very good project, many ICOs have been using Ethereum platform and many more would do so in future, so it has got a very high potential in future. But is not going to match bitcoin in near future, it may takes several years to replace bitcoin.

Maybe no or maybe yes?Maybe no because Bitcoin is the original or first coin,a very good coin and it is profitable.Maybe yes because we don't know what will happen to the other good coins like ethereum.

The price of bitcoin will not drop down much and if the price is down then it does not mean that it is going down but it will come back to a higher value sooner. No any other coin can come and replace it. Bitcoin is the master of all other coins. You can see that the remaining coins are requesting the services to adopt their coins while bitcoin is not in that stage as it is much higher than that stage whenever someone comes to crypto then they readily start to accept bitcoin for their services.

When it comes to ETH I still hope they will replace the BTC, but with Ripple they will not be able to replace Bitcoin in the future, I think Ripple is just fragile coin, they are coin bong ball. Can not survive long in the Crypto market.

I think that this will not happen. Bitcoin has a wider application than ETH or ripple. This makes him a leader among other coins.

Yes it is very widely and obvious bitcoin cannot be replace until now. There are many coins in line to replace btc but until now bitcoin has more users than other altcoins. I don't think ripple has the chance over bitcoin.

The big potential in the future, Ethereum will overcome Bitcoin to become the most popular crypto and have the highest market cap for Ethererum currently popular and used by many altcoins, creating a vast network of ETH. That makes the exchange rate of ETH will increase in the future as well as the demand for investment in crypto increases rapidly.

Ethereum has possible next bitcoin. Because I don't think ripple possible become the next bitcoin because ripple is potential but they don't have characterisitcs to handle the cryptocurrecny as number 1. But lest we see happen in the next few years.

Bitcoin is still the king of crypto and so far it has No 1 market cap for long period of time, for almost 10 years.  Bitcoin is doing well as digital gold.    Ethereum/ripple is still unproven yet and I do agree that they have their own potential.

In fact,  only one coin,  Marinecoin (MTC)  beat bitcoin for only one day in coin market cap in 2014.  No other coins have overtaken bitcoin yet so far.

I only believe Ethererum is able to pass Bitcoin and not replace it, because Bitcoin has become the missing element of this market. In the future, I think that ETH's market cap will overtake BTC because the potential of ETH is undisputed. Currently, most of the altcoins create Token based on Ethererum technology.

I used to believe that.  Now I don't believe ETH can overtake BTC on market cap.  U.S. government is very clear that tokens are security and subject to their regulations.  ETH is not security, but ICO tokens on top of ETH are security.  This regulations will kill off majority of ETH potential.

In the present situation it is not possible to cross the bitcoin because bitcoin is already well established and it impossible. Already the prices very low and establishment of technology increasing.
