Ethereum has been use widely for ICO purchase which have given this coin a high recognition. And also ripple has been on test for her technology in financial institutions to use since it can process trasactions than bitcoin. Will these two coins replace bitcoin and become number 1 on the coinmarketcap
I don't think so. Whatever happens bitcoin's throne never shakes and the dominance of bitcoin in the market is increasing day by day we have experienced this many times. The ethereum is of course a very solid foundation with a reassuring coin but this never shakes dominance of bitcoin in the criptocurrency market. To understand why I say that, see coinmarketcap dominance chart since 2017. Yes ethereum and ripple can be very solid projects, but bitcoin is always the king and compass of this market. I don't think it will change at least in the medium term
