I think every ETH holders are happy these days. Conform WorldCoinIndex the price went up with 36% within 7 days, 41% in 30days and 66% in 90days.

I always buy BTC and ETH and othere top coins.

That is right, every ETH holders are right now very happy and make a good profit from their investment. ETH is my favorite altcoin and l have been waiting for this day for months. Finally, ETH can reach this price, but no doubt if BTC doesn't touch 10k, it will not happen. l hope BTC will keep increasing and other altcoins will follow BTC. To tell the truth, l though that something will be better near to the end of the year, but it happened so early. It is really good to know your trading ideas are going to be realized soon. Top altcoins are still in a risky area, so I will stick to the another side. Flipping coins has better payment rates compared to investing in the random altcoin in a bear alt season.

I have about 50% of my crypto-capital in BTCitcoin and the other 50% distributed in other coins. (about 5-6 different ones)

My recommendation:

Investing at least half of the available capital in BTCitcoin and to diversify the rest a little bit.
But not too much, because otherwise there is the danger that you lose the overview!

However, as you above mentioned we must make great research before investing in any coin and focus on the movement of the coin. l think we must use this chance, l mean BTC has already started price increasing. No doubt there will be a positive effect on the price of other altcoins.
Let's take an example in the both bear and bull seasons. In the bear season, having a chance to invest in the same X project will give better ROI while the same investment will not leave the 10% of the previous ROI in bull season, from my own investment experience.

Yes ALGO is a huge potential coin, It is new and recently got onto Coinbase, now you can stake it and get %10 profit per year, with the popultity of staking this coin is an easy 10x this year because the marketcap is only 200 million.

I think it will be difficult to hold up to 5 years because if the value of Ethereum can reach $1000 next year then you will definitely consider selling because it is a very high price. I also choose to invest in this long-term coin but if I have felt enough profit then I will tend to sell to ensure profit. Now beyond Ethereum, there are still many new potential options and before investing, take a little time to analyze.
