ICO fails in my opinion just because most of the developers not do what they should do for them projects to be succesfull. And some of ICO are scams, anytime before join a ICO should be made a research before, and not invest in first ICO you see. Even with a low research sometimes is hard to find if that ICO is a scam, and sometimes time is not enough to find if an ICO is legit or no.

In some reason that I see why most ICO fails is because their projects must not that appreciated by the investors I mean the project that they read in their white papers are not that help to community and maybe their developers are not that good in communicating to other supporter that can make their campaign achieve what is needed to it.

One of the main reasons ICO projects fail is that after receiving these large amounts of money, they take their sweet time delivering on their promises and not meeting the deadlines on their roadmap.  It may be due to them speaking louder than their skills.

I do not think that 50% of failed ICOs is too much. In any business, percentage of loss-making campaigns is high. If we take the sphere of startups, only one project out of ten survives there. So, it is not so bad in the field of ICO as it is given in media

So many failed ICO's because i think of lack of feasibility study in some projects. Some projects are not convincing enough to prosper making it unsatisfying with investors.

There are many ICOs out there, but more than 50% of them fail.
From my analogy, could this be the reasons why ICOs fail?
1. Being too complicated:
If you want investors to favour your ICO, make sure they understand your coin offering. Be concise yet interesting, creative yet not too ‘techy’ and try to explain concepts from scratch. Of course, the detail you go into is likely to depend on your target audience.
2. No unique Use case and lack of creativity:
The reality is, ICOs are not straightforward and with new ideas and concepts arising daily, you need to get noticed and that means coming up with some unique Use case
So, before a developer even attempts to launch an ICO or enter the crypto world, ask yourself: "What will make investors choose this particular ICO over a competitor’s ICO?"
I believe the list continues.

Rcently I've read the latest news and updates in crypto and realized. It's not only the team or the project itself that cauases ICP's to fail. A big factor would be these news and the whole movement of the crypto market.

Very often developers try to enter the market without a proper product. Without it they can't raise enough funds from  investors. It seems to me this is the main reason why ICOs fail

I think one about the primary reason ICO's fizzle is a direct result of the group behind the venture and showcasing in light of the fact that the item will be convey after the ICO so they have to draw in financial specialists to put cash on their undertaking, likewise accomplices and guides causes the ICO to be reliable.

I think it is normal for the project to get capitalization in 4-5 years. The project needs time to develop.

there are many causes of ICO fails, the most influential is the unbalanced sales targets with the products offered, plus marketing strategies that are not right on target. It could also be due to poor communication between developers and prospective customers that make potential customers are reluctant to "deposit" funds to developers. And there are many other factors.

its just the same like Kickico or conventional investment, there's only few company that will survive and gain profit compared to how much company initially demand for investment. It's  like a natural law. the stronger will survive and the weak will fade. Investor aren't bored of it, they are just becoming smart enough to choose a better ICO and avoid scams.

because almost ico has an obscure project, when you see whitepaper there is not explained about the project and looks chaotic. it is certain that ico will fail, better not invest in ico.

When i red your post, i thought that you where thinking of already successful ICOs but now i understand that you are talking more of ones that dont get the funds .
There could be many factors why they fail, i have seen very good projects which fail to raise funds, their problem could be for example, bad marketing, bad design , bad explanation of their idea, even bad logo.

For other, most of failed ICOs  are shit anyways , sorry for this language but that is true.
Unfortunately also not so talented and interesting projects raise funds.

Ico failed is because its developers are not focused on the way the market is operating , things that market is needed , it can' t be met , not feasible and difficult. A lot of ico have failed a heavy way , and the appeal is not focused , besides the birth of many ico and competition between them

Well, I also think the reason why ICO fails may be because of its inconsistency and not reaching its goal limit. Losing funds or a weak marketing strategy is one of the reasons, team background and achievement can be a huge factor as well.

I totally agree with you! Each ICO that is now launched copies someone's already working idea. At this rate, soon will be lost all meaning for investors.

I don’t think they fail, the crash failed almost everything. I think there’s a great chance that people will go for ICOs like Liven and RedCab as they are targeting real markets like food and transport. They will be the top projects in future as crypto is becoming mainstream.

A lot of ICOs fail due to different reasons. Most of them do not have a good plan, a working prototype (a good one not just rubbish), long term plan is not good enough.
Another reason is the team. The team of most ICOs do not have the necessary experience and expertise to develop the project. Though the idea might be good but team is very important for the execution.
And some are outright scam that just want to collect money from the public.

2. No unique Use case and lack of creativity
There are many similar blockchains with good ROI, so i think uniqueness is not a reason for fail. Low hype really can be a problem for the project..
