A lot of ICOs are created by crypto enthusiasts who, at the same time, are not really professional. They are eager to create something significant, but poorly prepared and very poorly imagine the whole difficult path to a victorious result. They will think about how to work only after they collect funds during the crowdsale.

ICO failure is due to several reason, listed  below are some of the reasons have observed and researched
1. Timing: This is the period when the project was launch, the market trend compare to the token price
2. Team: That is the developers involve in the project, how  experience they are to deliver the vision outline
3. Unrealistic promises made by the  developer to investors.

there are too many aspect of fail ico. and one of them is there is no good promotion.
Ico can be successfull is there is huge promotion like google adword,FB ads and many others.
I do not agree that the problem is lack of advertising if the project is really high-quality and innovative, the budget for advertising can be minimal, and there are vivid examples. How many good ICOs have failed due to lack of advertising and promotion?

1. Lack of advertisement and marketing strategy.
2. The project is not unique and dont have a good chance in the future or not competitive much to equal what other offers.
3. The team members are not enough to trust by the investors and too much issue ion their side, theres not enough transparency.

I really do think the one at the top of the list of why ICOs fail is because of the amount of ICOs available on the market at the moment. Investors are often spoilt for choice and this leads them to picking only the very best. This leads to my second reason which is "the quality of the product offered". Due to stiff competition between ICOs right now, only the very best get all the attention. Another reason is poor marketing. There is absolutely no way your ICO will succeed if it's not put in public view. Simply put, people need to know about the project before considering investing. Uniqueness is also key, you can't offer the same use case with a previous ICO and expect to earn rave views.

The main thing is not to get on criminals! They have learned to sing very sweetly, but the payback will be too expensive!

some ICOs fail becouse thay have not a whitepaper which explain the concept of the project. and  thay have not strong team. without solid team project can't be successful.
Lack of advertisement and marketing strategy is also the reason of failure.

As a rule, the first reason is usually the most relevant. it is important to understand that without marketing people will never know about the project

If we take into account the current situation with the reasons for the failure of projects, they can be associated with an unfavorable market situation and, accordingly, with the lack of activity of investors. Also, one of the main reasons is the lack of clarity with the regulation of the market for ICO projects.

You have said it all but I also think product is an important part of a good ico or project. As for me I can never invest in a project without a very good working prototype. After the initial fund raising, it's the project that will create demand for the project. I think the major reason for most project failure is  because they don't have a good working prototype.

The situation of the market is a major factor. Although, despite seeing some projects fail, because they had no investors, yet some of them are still making it to their hardcap, at least softcap.
A project that is genuine will definitely make goods sales. There are so !any things a lot of investors consider before investing in a project. If those qualities are absent, then they will not be interested.

Currently, the major reason ICOs are failing is mostly due to the market condition, gone are the days it used to be a merry go round, nowadays you will be lucky to get the value you invested in an ICO after listing, if at all it gets listed.

Too many ICO frauds and only focus on fundraising. they ignore the products from real ico.
Investors do not have full confidence in ico after several successful projects delay the exchange and prices fall after all tokens are distributed.

It is logical to focus on fundraising and no need to rush if there is no enough money to continue development on project. Prices fall for a reason which is debatable and concrete facts can help to determine the reason behind this dump.

Sometimes I get surprised by the way some people react to what it is happening with icos, most icos fail simply because they are not worth anything and people should stop investing in those projects that are not worth their time, I know that I may sound harsh but when you see that more than 90% of the icos are scams and that people are losing their money I cannot help it.

A lot of developers just want to follow trend and not making new innovations. And some also utilize hype to take profit a lot then the project die. Most of the team have already create a complete amazing roadmap but only a portion of which can be carried on until the end even of the whitepaper just copying another project . A good project not only from the measure of amount raised from ICO but how also their project can function properly in accordance with the initial purpose they make. Many ICO are popping up, fail or success all started from the innovation, hard work, good team and also a strong community.

Why many ICO project always scam because they are not public about how much their ICO was sold, many ICO always keep hidden their coin have sold or not and make investor afraid about for investing at their ICO project.

The tragic thing is sometimes I am find most of the investors only have mind if they invest in ICO then they will get profit quickly after listing in market but they forget the fact that ICO is a high risk high profit. This thought that may not have been most people understand about ICO. Most of them not research with full of detail information

there are many reasons why ICOs have failed, in my opinion the poor team and that project are not useful so no one is interested in investing and also I think the bad community also affects when crowdsale, the thing is many investors see how attractive the project is so there is interest in investment. that it
