@TagBond : I have just completed going through 142 pages of this thread including links posted therein sometimes with a soft toothbrush (to flick your phrase). I know @Tyke studied 135 pages for collecting TagCoin info for his book. But I am no writer. Or miner. Or an altcoin beneficiary or loser.

I read through everything just to track the evolution of your stated business intentions, which continue to be repeated. Because the idea appealed to me >> an altcoin with a solid business that has perpetual value.

Must be more than a year proclaiming The World's First Rewards Coin.

How many reward points has TagCoin or TagBond or TagSomethingElse processed until yesterday ?

I have noticed you telling forum users repeatedly to engage merchants, rewards using customers & potential customers to establish TagCoin and hence increase its value. What has your well equipped team (a reported fraction of which appears in a picture) with offices stated to be in more than one country done to achieve this in more than one year ?

Repeatedly stating one of your business models emulates Adsense and another emulates Facebook and maybe a third emulates Amazon sounds good to the layman. More than a year gone, what have you done ? How many ads are you running ? How much revenue have you generated ?

If your net worth is more than the market cap of TagCoin as you tend to repeat before this forum, how much money have you actually spent translating your stated (not the unstated) business intentions into reality ? And if you have indeed been spending the required amount in the last one year why are you continuing to spend considering there are no visible results ?

Don't you think "The World's First Rewards Coin" is a misnomer ? The world will feel cheated when it gets to hear that its first reward coin processed so few (if at all) reward points in more than a year.

I am sure you will take my words positively as a businessman would. My apologies if you don't.

Wondering if the OP or his communications specialists have read this. Kind attention please.
Thanks

I've been away for 6 weeks traveling, apologize for delay in responding here.. Will get the explorer back on track shortly.

Just in case, this is the updated Mac Wallet - Need to check if the website has the correct version:
https://www.dropbox.com/s/m1k5udguoamfj3d/TagCoin-Qt-1.1-Mac.zip?dl=0

@stellar1 - if you care to take a look at tagcash.com you can see the amount of work that has gone into support of virtual and fiat currencies (closed loop, semi closed loop and open loop (this includes Bitcoin and Tagcoin), and we are also about to launch a WP Plugin and Shopify App. Tagbond is also growing as a classified and rewards site that integrates Tagcash as the micropayment system. 2 android apps are available on google play for merchant and for personal use. VTC.com has integrated Tagcash.com to pay as you go for learning content and we accept payment via Tagcash for various services here in Philippines.
Deposits and withdrawals are made via Bitcoin and can be converted to any currency within the system, including Tag Coin and fixed value Tag Points. Outside of the Philippines we do not use the traditional banking system.

Now we have created the infrastructure, but it's up to communities and users to use it as they will.

Tagcoin is a tiny part of what we have done - I did not build the company just for Tagcoin, but I have built the infrastructure to use and support it. As we grow, then I hope Tagcoin grows with us. I cannot do more than that at this stage.

As to the name of the coin, you might notice it was changed some time ago to "Tagcoin for Advertising and Rewards".

I won't be drawn into a discussion regarding any of your other questions, but you are welcome to come visit our offices in Manila to meet us..Wink

Let me know if the TAG community leaders have an interest in being involved with a multi-coin community crowdfunding platform:

Did you have had a reply on this of Tagbond?

Maybe getting involved in such idea makes this coin more popular. However, it does not really relates with the original idea of a coin for Advertising and Rewards. Which is actually a nice and (at that time) innovative idea though. I'm proud supporting this coin since the earlier days, but I guess only time will tell whether this original idea is going to be a success.

@Armis - I did check out the site, but I wasn't quite sure how it works...I am in interested in crowdfunding projects, but we tend to use closed loop currency that can be controlled and distributed rather than crypto. I am open to ideas if you can tell me how it benefits Tagcoin...

@Don007 - Although we created it for advertising and rewards, TAG Coin will probably be used more as straight crypto currency for use within our network of sites. Tagcash is growing as a micropayments platform, Tagbond as a classifieds and referrals site and we are working on other projects that incorporate Tagcash micropayments/closed loop currency. Our projects use Bitcoin and Tagcoin for funding and withdrawal of multi currency wallets, especially outside the Philippines.
I have plans for the future of Tagcoin, but as I always stated, it's not for the short term pump and dump. However, you will see some interesting developments on the Tagcoin website within a couple of months...Smiley

PICISI as initially designed would actually make millions if the coins involved actually performed as prescribed.  When the articles were written, everyone was pleased on wanted to be on board.  However what I didn't know is that 90% of the people that responded only read a fraction of the material and assumed the rest:  some thought it was simply a place where their coin could be used, but it is far more than that; some thought it was a place where they could advertise their coin, it is far more than that too;  and a few even thought it was a site where they could crowdfund their projects, but it is far more than that too.   The bottom line however was that it was misunderstood.

Instead of trying to focus on the original plan that requires massive organized participation, I'm going to scale it down to a size that requires far less outside participation and far less potential income in order to graduate to the grander plan over time.

Regardless of the changes it would benefit Tagcoin to be involved -- I'll be in touch.

Okay, that's clear. Thank you for your response!

I'm HODL'ing my TagCoins anyway, but this response has increased my enthusiasm for TagCoin in the long run. Smiley

It's been a bit of wait, but we have finally integrated Tagcoin into VTC.com website - 10% of any subscription is paid in Tagcoin at the current rate into the users wallet.

When a user registers at vtc.com, either for free (to play the first 2 chapters of any learning course), or to buy VTC Credits and use the Pay as you Learn system, a TAG ID is created on Tagcash automatically. When someone buys the $30 a month, $250 a year subscription, VTC Credits or downloadable courses they get 10% of the payment in Tagcoin - A button is displayed on your account page on login that asks if you want to claim your reward. This applies for recurring monthly payments  as well.

Other news:

Tag coin will be integrated as the only method of real money wagering in Miskio.com, a Social Gaming website that will allow anyone to wager against anyone else while playing asynchronous mobile games (eg: battling for high scores in Candy Crush) or synchronous games like Poker, Blackjack, Rummi etc where you play real time against others. Miskito will also feature Sports Betting for things like English Premier League, Indian Cricket League, Tennis, Boxing and other sports, as well as offering Horse Racing courtesy of Betfair. Depending on the location of the user and what kind of game it is (Skill or chance) they can wager in either closed loop Miskio Points (like Zynga), or Tagcoin. Miskio will feature a Team element to buy or bid for players and earn a percentage of player earnings that come from the Miskio rake on each wager session.

To stay legal in USA and other countries, only games of skill can be wagered using Tagcoin, but in other parts of the world like China where users can buy Tagcoin via BTC38.com, there will be no restrictions. However, a user has to do KYC with Tagcash and provide government ID and proof of address to deposit and withdraw Tagcoin.

Miskio Points will be sold for both Bitcoin and Tagcoin amongst other payment methods, but Miskio Points and Tagcoin will be the only way to wager within Miskio.

Asynchronous games are built using HTML5, CSS, Javascript and Node JS on the backend - Game developers can either host their games on our site, or Miskio can provide a system of iframing and SDK to connect up to the system. An Android SDK can be provided so any single user game can be connected. Other advantages for game developers include a ranking system, reviews and media coverage. Revenues come from a percentage of Tagcoin wagered, advertising income (provided via Tagbond.com) and 50% of sales of Miskio Points purchased through a game.

If anyone wants to see how Miskio is going to function, clickable mockups for idea flow etc (not final design) can be accessed here (viewable on windows and mac and some linux systems):

http://iplotz.com/app/viewernew.php?k=b2600bf5245f62867bf446fffa150784&pr=138063&pg=138063_1&a=6050&sitemap=true

Updates are made every day to tweak ideas etc while the site is being built. You can register at the beta site at http://miskio.com. Any constructive criticism and ideas can be posted in this forum.

I'm working vigorously on PICISI, a crowdfunding site that accepts fiat and crypto, it will launch in under a month, there will be many paid sponsorship opportunities when the site launches however prior to launch I have created 20 free sponsorship opportunities.  If you are interested in one of the remaining 12 11 spaces contact me before they are all gone.

At PICISI here are our primary sponsorship opportunities:

1)  Host CC Sponsor -  One of the best ways to get your coin into the hands of someone is to simply give it to them, however the best way to get your coin used by the general public is to get your coin into their hands and have them use it in a real life application.  When an organizer starts a campaign at PICISI s/he has a choice of what CC currency type to select, the first choice is “sponsor currency” this is the organizer indicating a willingness to have his campaign sponsored at the host CC level.  Once the sponsor is finally selected that currency will be the currency that all other CCs donated to that campaign will be converted to for the duration of that particular campaign.

This is major because everyone that visits that campaign will see your currency, but the will not only see but will likely use the funds to do business with one of the contractors at the site during the campaign.   If they don't use it during the campaign, over that month of close interaction with your currency they are very likely to want to learn more about your coin so that by the end of the campaign they will make the deliberate decision to download a wallet, open an exchange account, or simply convert out of the currency.   Regardless of what they actually choose to do your CC has certainly been branded into their mind in a very positive way.

2)  Campaign Sponsor - this is the most common type of sponsorship outside of PICISI;  the sponsor’s logo is affixed to the body of campaign text in an area set aside for campaign sponsors.  The higher your donation the higher your logo is located in the sponsorship logo area.

3)  Donor Perk Sponsor -  a sponsor provided perk escrowed by PICISI on behalf of a specific campaign where it will be used.   If the perk is not requested by any qualified donor it will be converted to host CC and donated to the campaign

4)  Advertising Perk Sponsor -  a sponsor provided perk escrowed by PICISI on behalf of a specific campaign to be used as a perk or returned to the sponsor.  If the perk is not requested by any qualified campaign donor the perk is sent back to the sponsor -- the perk is NOT donated to the campaign.

and

5)  Campaign Video Sponsor -  the first 5 second of the campaign organizer's video is allocated for the Campaign Video Sponsor, this is where the sponsor will indicate: “This video is brought to you by … [say sponsor's name, show sponsor's logo, and say sponsor's catchphrase]”

Things get more interesting for 'purpose coins'.  A purpose coin is a CC created for a specific purpose or niche, eg: EMC2, Metal, HYPER, GMC,  RPC, Gridcoin, EDU, FLDC,  etc ...  for these coins they may want to direct their sponsorship more broadly to whole categories as well as specific campaigns.  EMC2, Gridcoin, and FLDC will likely want affiliation with science research category; HYPER and GMC will want affiliation with gaming and game development categories, Metal will want affiliation with music category, EDU will want affiliation with Education category; SLR will want affiliation with the Renewable Energy category.   So that when someone is searching via the categories specific sponsorship logos will be part of the picture.

PICISI is currently sponsored by:

There are 12 11 free CC sponsorship positions remaining.  Let me know as soon as possible if you want inclusion.

I have not been following the Tagcoin market these days. However, many (alt)coins have increased in value the last week. The exact reason is unsure for me, but the most reasons I have been reading are about China investing (even more) in these coins.  Therefore, it's not just TagCoin that has increased in value - many more (older) altcoins have.

@don007 - Tagcoin is certainly not dead...it is actively mined and traded in China, and I don't think they bother reading bitcointalk. Just because there is no activity on this forum does not mean there is no activity on Tagcoin. I gave up on this forum some time ago...too much negativity and coin bashing. But of course you will think what you want anyway...Smiley

For anyone else reading this, Tagcoin is alive and well and for our own needs, actively used within Tagcash and the Tag network of sites. This is why we created it and it is suiting our purposes well. What the Chinese or anyone else does is up to them. We don't control it we just use it.

As an aside we are licensed and regulated as an Emoney issuer under Banco Sentral ( Philippines central bank authority) and Security Bank in Philippines. Our next plan is to become licensed in Europe as an EMI or as partner of one and push forward with micropayments and referrals/rewards.
