Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen is launching a cryptocurrency in his own name, joining other famous sportsmen including Manny Pacquiao in a new venture to connect with fans. The retired England star announced Wednesday his investment in the Singapore-based Global Crypto Offering Exchange (GCOX) as he unveiled the “Owen Coin”. http://punchng.com/ex-england-star-michael-owen-to-launch-own-cryptocurrency/amp/Could this be a booster to cryptocurrency because these celebrities have big influence world wide and could invariably canvass more support for cryptocurrency. Yeah this is a good sign to boast the name of crypto currency to adopt other country or people and support digital currency and also invest it. More celebrities invest in crypto currency this mean many people can invest also. This was an awakening to the whole world who is watching and will start getting curious into this advertisement and investments with their favorite celebrities or just like Pacquiao who's in it. We know that Michael Owen and Pacquiao is known in the world and once they already open their coin in public the media will spread more the awareness in cryptocurrencies

I just heard about this, this is a very positive thing in my opinion. because as we know owen is an athlete who has many fans, though not as famous as ronaldo and messi. I think this will bring a positive impact, and it could be that other public figures follow what is done by owen.

it depends on the company if they want to celebrities to endorse their project but if they have a budget why don't try it if the celebrities well endorse the project people will say that they want to invest in this company. the more people investing it the salary of the celebrities will increase.

This will be very good. This is a very effective way of marketing the crypto market. If this happens I believe this market will be thriving.

It is also the same here in the Philippines where in an article that is being published that Manny PACMAN Pacquiao has supported cryptocurrency and would launch also its own token to be name after his known alias which is PACMAN token but for now it is still a myth and i do not think it will happen. If only i can get back the link of article i could post it here.

Sounds good to me. Yes, celebrities can really make cryptocurrency popular. Their influence are really helpful for others to know and to believe. There's a big impact if that celebrities introduce what really is cryotocurrency. Cryptocurrency will become famous.

Is this really a real news? Or just a fake news. Well, I do not know if a celebrity really endorse the cryptocurrency or they will used it to gambling, because knowing that you were partner with pacquiao which is recently won and defeated mythesse in malaysia. For sure they will used it for gambling in their next fight.

Yes it is true but at least celebrities introduce cryptocurrency. The popularity of celebrities will certainly attract a lot of people to know what cryptocurrency is.

When Michael Owen began his career in his youth, I was also his admirer and admired his play. Probably, he just decided to earn his name with the help of a crypto currency. Other sports stars also engage in their business after the end of their careers. I wish him that "Owencoin" showed X100.))

Owen has many fans around the world, and he promotes "Owen Coin" on his social media. "Owen Coin" will get people's attention! This encrypted currency, combined with philanthropy and public welfare, could be a hit.
One famous woman in Russia issues her own crypto currency named @BuzCoin, it was so hilarious to the people of the country I'm thinking that this is the way how it should not be.

There's 2 more celebrity endorsers in the Philippines that's aside from Senator Manny Pacquiao. One of them is Doug Kramer, he is a basketball player at team Phoenix Fuel Masters. On his IG account you can see him making a T sign for Titanium or TBar. Unfortunately, TBAR was removed in CMC. Another endorser is Mr Paolo Bediones, he is a TV Host, News caster and a radio Commentator and COO of LoyalCoin.

Well, I agree with you about it and besides a lot of people are getting interested on what Manny Pacquaio and Former Manchester United and Real Madrid striker Michael Owen`s did. We should say yes that it will boast the name of crypto currency, but maybe it may also affect to our economy it`s because as we all know government are actually against about crypto right?
