And is the use of cards issued by banks not digital money ?! We have been using them for a long time, and bitcoin is just a new direction.

In our country, digital money is not widely accepted by society yet. This is for the reason that our country has not progressed fully yet. But I think to eliminate the culture by using cash this of course requires a process that is not easy.

Digital money is already being actively used in my country. It's convenient. The next generation seems to me to give up paper money and cryptocurrency will be used everywhere
We don't need to give up crypto currency, all we need is to accept crypto as payment like paper money but still the paper money will be used every where. Cashless society is actually good for the economy because people will have faster transactions and prices will be cheaper since bitcoins is continuously growing in the market.

Most probably cashless society would happen in the future. Digital money could possibly replace the cash or fiat is just that we do not know when. It would take a lot of time before people could adopt to the digital currencies. Adoption would be needed to be able to implement the cashless society.

It is said now China is a cashless society. Use of debit and credit cards in shops/stores, online pay bills, shopping online.
Money earned from the internet is known as digital/electronic money. People who earn money from the internet, they get paid money in electronic form by payment processors such as skrill, perfectmoney, alipay, paypal, bank-wire transfers because online workers are worldwide.
Last month, I got $20 from online surveys. The money was sent to my bank account via online payment processor. Now if I buy 2 shirts using debit cards at offline or online stores, there is no cash involved but I have 2 shirts.
Just like Bitcoin which does not have a physical presence, money/cash will not have physical presence in "cashless society/countries" where money becomes digital/numbers.
Bitcoin is a part of digital money. How is digital money is your country ??
At this point in time digital currency is happening as bitcoin and crypto are getting into countries through its users. About cashless society, for now many are using debit and credit cards. I believe later on as the years go by, cashless society will not even use debit or credit cards as technology advances so much now. As people are so focused on technology later on everyone are into digital.

Yes cashless is good but i think we dont need to forget our fiat, fiat is also easy to use on a mini stores ,digital currency is good only for the place that internet is strength but not on the province.

Certainly a digital money will make cash extinct, like the current use of debit card, credit card and most likely in automated teller machine and the unleasing of crypto currency will totally make cash obsolete in the near future. I believe that the rise of digital world will fueled crypto currency to lead the way digital monetary transaction.

It's really right that a Switzerland is for a good non-cash society. They have created a new token that has a very low and volatile effect and has no right chance to think carefully. It explains that it is only suitable for payments. most of all it will not be lost ...

I have been reading the comments here and I can't believe what I am reading. Do you guys really honestly think that cashless society (=orwellian state) is good and desirable? Because it would seem so, when reading your comments.

I think cashless society is defenseless from multiple points of view. You don't have anything to exchange in the event that you ever go outside of the web go. On the off chance that you've at any point voyaged you know that it is so natural to get into a blind side where your telephone doesn't work. Also, in such recognize your web won't work as well. They won't have card terminals and you won't have the capacity to purchase fuel for your machine or a container of water. It's too soon to attempt to live in a cashless society.
There are far more benefits of the cashless society. The future of the market and industry is not possible without technological progress and technological progress will definitely give rise to a cashless society. But there are certain lacking points of a cashless society that everyone around the world do not have access to the internet and a complete replacement of cash by the electronic money is not possible in the near future. It can only be possible if everyone around the world has access to the internet.

Digital money cannot be a complete replacement for cash, I can be sure of that. However, in the future, digital payments will become more popular and cash will be used only for small transactions in life.

We are really heading into a cashless society although of course paper money will still be accepted especially in rural areas. The governments cannot stop this growing trend as online is becoming very vital in peoples lives.
Cash is still a good thing, not everything need to be digital. digital money can easily be stolen or just plainly disappear so i'm all for digital and cash working together. Now if you have digital money which has more strength and power than our national currencies then it is better for us to deal with digital currencies. Digital currencies are in our benefit as well as it has many advantages besides its value it is using as fast transaction tool which is of negligible cost and your friend will receive money on the other side of earth within seconds will it takes too much time with banks.

It can only be possible if everyone around the world has access to the internet. Or maybe the digital forms of money should be considered as additional means of payments (coexistent) to still existing cash. That way, for anybody wanting to use cash and stay anonymous and under radar, they could do that, and for anybody wanting to transact digital money (for instance via Internet or long distances) they would have the option to do so too. I would consider it a much safer way for society development than just doing the alternative: eliminating cash (aka cashless society)

I can see that we are on the early stages of the digital money. We can see a lot of cashless transactions through debit cards, credit cards, online shopping, online paying of bills and services plus the crypto currency world. We are seeing less and less of cash money being used, but then I still think that this era of digital money will just make us used less cash but not entirely eliminate the use of it. I don't think that the banks and the national government will allow that thing to ever happen, not now, not in the near future.
This is one of my favorite topics. Digital money can of course lead to a cashless society like that of Venezuela where the money crisis had messed up every aspect of life and people simply rejected to accept money and started using mobile money instead. The government also reduced printing money and the crisis was slowly and gradually reduced and inflation which was a hyper inflation declined.

Equally stated, digital money = cashless society. As we are now in the present, digital world invades us, drastically. No cash? no worries. We pay bills, have our remittance, earn money in a digital way. This is how digits turn the world upside down.
Today, I was at the bank and there was some 5,000,000 in currency notes on the table inside the bank [near the bank employees]. People were dealing in cash.

it is still very much. there are still no internet villagers and towns. big cities require modern but advanced technology. a cashless society may be possible after maybe 20 years. the world is not ready for that yet. There are still countries that do not use credit cards. There are families who do not have computers. There are government institutions. traditional banking will be our lives for many more years.

I also agree that crypto currency can replace all non-cash settlements. Many say that bitcoin and altcoyins will destroy fiat money, but I believe that the cash will remain, and non-cash money will be replaced by a crypto currency.
