...except the price has been on a historic landslide, along with the rest of the Altcoins that have no purpose.

Way open to suggestions here.

Well, to state the obvious with a 1 sat trade today.

I'm so nostalgic I wanna cry...
Where have you gone Joe Dimaggio, a nation turns it's lonely eyes to you.

The general idea of a hyper-inflationary crypto is very interesting...
Steemit has incorporated the idea with STEEM inflating at about 90% annually... but part of a larger picture.

I've always thought that integrating a hi-stake coin with a casino is a perfect match...
Most of the crypto dice and casinos I've seen are boring for retards... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Maybe if someone adapted an exciting game instead of wrangling wallets one of these coins could be revived...
But you'd need a hard fork... and, say, 50% of the coins would have to be expropriated to form a bankroll.

RBIES tried to integrate a very conventional 7% coin with a casino (now that's in limbo as they redesign it)...
Someone will hit a home run in this area, it's only a matter of time.

I'd be interested if the games were interesting. Poker, Blackjack, etc. Not fucking dice games. I'm ok with them existing, but they bore the fuck out of me.

There was some discussion a while back about TEK and online gaming like World of Warcraft, or some such. Does anyone know someone we can pitch this to?  I have been jotting down some ideas and pro/cons, and there may be a opportunity here.  I cannot remember if someone said they may have a contact, but I would be willing to run with this for a bit if I can get some direction.

TEK can still come back, but it needs a use-case asap. I'd say crypto gaming is over saturated now, but something like Poker would explode. TEK should try and get accepted as a gaming token on the new decentralised Poker platform, Pokereum

Well, I'm back to check on things after about a 6 month hiatus, and I see that things have progressed exactly as I predicted. Yes, I flipped a good portion of my TEK @ 3000 back then and made a killing. But I still have about a mil, for nostalgia I suppose. Anyway, I'm not here to brag or gloat but to offer a suggestion as a last ditch attempt to save this coin, since the community is dwindling fast.

Here's some reality: All new investments are going to coins with anonymity, side chains, smart contracts, and utility platforms. TEK doesn't offer anything more than 500 other coins except hyperinflation, which is now killing it. If nothing happens for a year, and assuming anyone's still interested and staking, there will be trillions of TEKcoins -- basically worthless. No amount of dice or poker is going to absorb that. And it's not just TEK, it's all high-stake coins that are dying. It's just not an attractive model anymore.

If anyone cares about saving this community, you need to change things, NOW! Maybe something radical is needed like a coin merge with other high-stake coins. Or simply a hardfork and coin exchange. Do a 100-1 coin swap. That will give you 5 mil total supply, and reduce stake to 4% to prevent runaway inflation. To compensate for super-stake, add some features like anonymity, smart contracts, or in-wallet chat, something to give the coin some new, interesting features. And when you do the coin swap, skim off a percentage and bribe your way on to Bittrex. No coin will ever survive on that pathetic Cryptopia exchange. You need an exchange with at least 1000 BTC daily volume or forget it.

I don't say this out of malice but genuine concern for bagholders. This high-stake model was always going to be most beneficial to early adopters who had plenty of coins to stake and dump before inflation beat the price down. Hyperinflation is never sustainable; we have history to confirm that. And now, we've hit bottom at 1 satoshi. Rather then cry about it, why not pool together and reboot this coin into something new and interesting. The great thing about open-source is there's plenty of code to adopt.

These are likely my final words on the subject. Because if nothing is changed, I predict there won't be anybody here in another 6 months to listen to another rant of mine. Good day.

Don't bother posting suggestions.
Coin swap/split and new POS scheme have been suggested many times, like a year ago.
Big Toe does not reply or comment as usual, and that's the main reason why TEK is pretty much dead.

Man, ... what about my diligence? My patience all this time? All for nothing?

Nah, it still has been an interesting thing for me doing what I did. All a learning experience, so I will not complain. I'll keep going for nostalgia reasons. lol. Maybe not too much Viva for compounding interest....haha.

Guys, after my stake this time around, (and only at lil bit above 19%), for the first time I'm kinda getting that early 'hockey stick graph' feeling of upwards thrust. It's really quite exciting since I have built up my TEK slowly and only interjecting small amounts (that I've bought off exchange at those times I was getting a little impatient with the staking results) cause I wanted to have this very feeling I'm having now, you know that excitement that you worked diligently and patiently waiting, staking, waiting, staking and  seeing your balance increase... very small at first, looking at a flat lined graph for a long time, and only a couple TEK but keeping at it you know. Haha this feeling is priceless, and its only the beginning of my 'hockey stick curvature'  Cheesy   Viva compounding interest!  Grin

Those are just cosmetics that we don't really need. How about a mobile wallet? Now that would be something!

I think inflation control is #1 priority.  The 100 to 1 reduction in existing coins mentioned a few posts up is a great idea.  I hold a great deal of Tekcoin and was one of the first to mine it, but would support this decision.   Maybe a hard fork is needed. Smiley

I'd agree that inflation is a priority before it gets out of hand. Difficulty, currently puts some break on inflation, ...  but I'd like to see inflation linked to the coin supply.

Not to rain on anyones parade as I bake and stake a few tek myself fer shitz n giggles,
(the monthly pop-up bell ring is kinda like when you spot a shiney nickel on the sidewalk....well for me anyway)
but I have to wonder at 1440 max coins a day (if one were to mine every possible block, i.e all 8 cents worth)
 is it actually worth mining?

Bitcoin...the future of all monetary transactions...and always will be
