Even it is a free thing, a person may waste his time on there. So, after all, a person doesn't get anything then we can call it a scam. Because the people are working to earn some money.
in any case, even a simple scam requires some effort and knowledge. In fact, this is a job and it is assessed by some fraudulent code. but nevertheless it looks different when at the expense of many others the profit is received by one or several people ..

Hi everybody,
Lately I am reading a lot of posts asking: is this airdrop a scam? Is that free ICO a scam?
So I am wondering how can something that doesn't cost you a penny be a scam. Sure, they get your email adress and maybe a ETH Adress, but how can you  really be scamed with only this informations? I am not talking about airdrops that require kyc registration, that for sure can be dangerous.
Cheers,

if you are not losing your money then you can not call it a scam. you are just just trying to get something for free and if you don't get it , you can not call it a scam.

lol @ the person that said most projects aren't scams.. I'd say most are scams, they offer no realistic end goals and they're all mostly fantasy wish scenarios with no business possibilities behind them. And yes, if the coin is free it's still probably a scam because the Dev is just creating a market to dump his coins while the hype is still large. It will continue to gradually go down until the price is near worthless, then they will claim the coin isn't gaining any traction and just drop the project all together. Just about every ico and token coin is a scam..

Cheers,
people say that an airdrop is a scam because they dont actually give what they promise to the airdrop participants, it is considered as scam since bounty participants are spending their time and expecting a payment from them.

I wouldn't say it's a scam because it isn't trying to steal your money. However, free things often requires something from you, whether you realize it or not, it could be your time, it could be your personal details or it could be information you possess. Be vigilent with all of these things when getting anything for "free"

Normally, wind dents and bonuses will require your ethereum address and email address, and if they request your private key do not allow them to take it, stay away from these types of people and you should be cautious. Do not take anything whenever shit people will try to get your investment out of your wallet.

Of course, paying can be a scam, especially those that are free. you have to be careful with free, you have to check their project first, don't forget to research.

I think that this is an absurd opinion although, of course, for the bounty of hunters who invested their time there, this may be so, because they in fact contribute much more than just money.

Receiving token from bounty or airdrop is not only free. Maybe we say it is free because we dont spend money from it yet we work for it to gain token.  But it is not 100% scam free because there some project that you wont recieve any token. As newbie. Always do research and master all about ICO and cryptocurrency.

Yes it can ! In the part of those people who get the free coins or tokens, they can say that the free coins they received are not scam because they only get it for free, while the investors of that coin/s can be affected if those coins they invested are given for free just to attract investors and at the end, it will turned out a scam once they got something from the investors.

Yes it could be. Lots of fraud cases that occur at ICO including the Bounty Scam project. When people follow a Bounty campaign. And after they finish the campaign they are not paid. Because the Project is Scam or Fraud, So it is not paid, That is the incident that is often experienced by Bounty hunters.

Indeed it can ! In the piece of those individuals who get the free coins or tokens, they can state that the free coins they got are not trick since they just get it for nothing, while the speculators of that coin/s can be influenced if those coins they contributed are given for nothing just to draw in financial specialists and toward the end, it will turned out a trick once they got something from the financial specialists.

In fact, there is a lot of Scam and it can be absolutely everywhere, even in the most successful ICO. After all, the human factor decides everything in the ICO. Ironically... cryptocurrency completely eliminates the human factor, but was created by man.

If you look at it from your angle then it might not be a scam but always remember they use to say time is money so you might not have physically invested your monies but hey you've been scammed of your time, energy and probably your ideas.

Maybe anything, but the most important thing is probably that now many projects are really scam, in spite of the fact that there are very few good projects now, they are really very few, so you need to be very careful.

Everything could be a scam. ICOs, coins. projects, products, and so on. Unfortunately there is not the solution for this problem today and I suppose that it will be in the nearest time.

Yes, most special tokens are huge amounts of free.It will turn into scams if the developers will abandon the cards. Some dev will take advantage of they will sell the token when the price will rise then pour the value.

There are sites and forums where they exchange money with each other without any commissions. Advantages of this method - you do not pay intermediaries. But you need to be careful

Well most airdrops require little work and little personal information.
It can still be termed a scam, if they use your activity to boost the hype around their project and don't reward you. But the work is quite insignificant  I don't see the reason anyone would throw a fit about it.
Except of course they get delicate private information, the potential rewards is usually so small I don't know why anyone would provide such info.
