It maybe a fake news, I never heard that China will legalize ico, the government holds a clear attitude toward ico, especially the main task is to ensure the finance security, I think there is no way to legalize ico for two or three years in China
As it is, I do not even thing China is even ready to welcome any development for cryptocurrency at large let alone, ICOs. I am not sure where bitcoinist must have gotten that news from, but I really would not want to just take anything that come from online article news website just the way it comes.

After all these, it seems the way a lot of people have been placing the new governor of PBoC, there may be a slight chance something like that could be worked towards, but until then, there is still no news and everything is just a rumor.

I have been hearing some news about the new PBoC governor being a cryptocurrency enthusiast, so this may have some play. However, I would debunk anything for now, until it actually happens. There are so much fake news flying around and the crypto journalists are never helping matters as they really do not bother verifying news and all they are just after is the traffic for their website.

It’s possible of course but I think we still need more time for this kind of regulation. This might be a fake news or what but if this thing happen for sure many investors will come and the market will start to pump again. We really need this kind of news right now, the market is keep on dumping so I hope this is true.
This news is unlikely to be true. China has taken the path of creating a state crypto currency, it does not need ICO projects that the country's authorities can not control.
And we really need good news, otherwise a real panic may soon begin.   Smiley

It is impossible for China to legalize the ico. How could it be possible to legalize ico if China even listed BTC as illegal?

to my knowledge it is impossible that bitcoin is legalized in chna, because according to china bitxoin it from yesterday it is so bad so it should take time to legalize it.

With all the money that ICOs can bring to the country it was amazing to me that China banned ICOs to start with. It won't take them long to learn how they can capitalize on this major change in how commerce around the world will work. The sad part is this doesn't seem to be helping the price of Ethereum. Without a doubt there was a huge bubble, but I think smart contracts will have a very bright future that will surpass anything that we can imagine currently. So many services with switch to blockchain.

I think this is a fake news , because if it's a true - market should react positively and become green . In addition , it is not how China works . They have to regulate everything , they will not legalize anything that can harm their financial stability , even in theory .

Bull shit news, cant be true only these people who are spreading FUDs to get the market down then after they have bought a lot of cheap coins they will spread good news to that the market will recover, tactics as usual from these market manipulators! China wont never allow cryptocurrencies because if they wanted to they have allowed it a long time ago.

I think that is a fake news, though the leader of central bank was changed, the new leader named Yi Gang is not so friendly to crypto, I do not think he will support to legalize the ICO.

the regulations and legalization should be the filter for scam ICO's that appeared many lately.
if china want to legalize ICO, they must have a regulations to prevent scam ICO.

According to several articles in internet in the upcoming months, it’s possible for the Chinese government to roll out a licensing program for ICOs, as an attempt to restructure the market and introduce legitimate ICO projects and Blockchain startups to the public for token sales and fundraising.

If it's true, then it's great news, but I don't think it will be that quick and the price on the cryptomarkets, will take ages to get back up again. Well we hold fingers crossed and hope the market will recover soon

I think this is a fake news... It's very difficult to believe that China will change its opinion regarding ICO in so few time...

Actually the new governor of the China Central Bank make a positive statement about crypto-currencies immediately after he got his seat. So this could be very real news and China will aim into taxes from all cryptos.

His predecessor was well known to be anti-crypto.

I am sure that if this news is real, then it would bring good changes in the market. China has always been considered as one of the "big markets" that any business would want to penetrate or get good graces from; it's because China's economy is so big that once it picks up one market, it gives it the boost to boom in the years to come. Since there are so many news of China doing drastic changes on how they accept cryptocurrencies in general, then it would surely give a breath of fresh air, if for once, they would release something stating their support of the cryptocurrency market. I just hope it's real news.

News from China has always been jiggling this young market for crypto currency. Be prepared for any statement or "duck". Many traders use this well.

Well, like they always say it is only a fool who doesn't change his mind.If they are willing to change their initial stance after weighing all available options then that's a good way to go.Like I always say this year is a year of regulations in the cryptocurrency sphere which we must all be ready for.

If that's true then maybe we can have a long uptrend this year or in the coming years. However if it's not true then cryptocurrency can still continue without them just like in 2017 after the FUD there's still uptrends.

On the one hand, this is positive news. But in the other hand, this news can not change the ongoing downward trend. I do not know when we will see the bottom

The Chinese government trolls the entire crypto world. They can not make an unambiguous decision regarding crypto. The whole world suffers from this uncertainty. I hope that they will allow ICO and this will have a very positive impact on the entire crypto market.
