I'm sorry but when RVN came out it was the same deal, I was mining it before it was on an exchange and saw no mention of the overstock backing.  I still support rvn 100% and still mine it but people are just bitching and complaining either because they have alternative motives to keep others from mining to keep the Diff low for themselves or they're just dumb period.

Thing is, when i started mining RVN at the beginning of february, RVN has been ongoin for a month or so with the same accusations of "no fair lunch". But in this month, most mining was done with CPU, GPU Mining happened the time around I entered the project. Nevertheless and following the accusations, I checked the RVN Explorer, top wallet back then had 2.4M RVN-coins with the project going on for one month! Have a look at PGN's top-100 List, after a couple of days now. Premine 1-2 days with GPU (which now is possible thx to RVN), and you're sitting like a god. Anyone else may start then with an already to high diff.

That said I'm going to mine this anyway for 24-48h, but I am quite sure, it never ever comes in the spheres of RVN, regarding the future of the project itself or returns moneywise. What happens on the 3.4., do they just copy the roadmap also, but check it for misspellings? Cheesy

And after mining it now for an hour: no fluctuating power for GPUs, yeaaah, right. learn about plimit in the .bat file and you have the same small spikes with RVN. I'm off again but wish you all the best of luck with this one!

The hashrate smooths out, but power spikes for this coin are literally indistinguishable from RVN.  There is no benefit from a power-use smoothing perspective with this coin.  I confirmed this on 6 separate rigs of mine.

Lots of truth in your post!  You have to remember that 16s is still using the 16 algos so you will still get spikes but they're nowhere near the crazy of 16r and WAY more stable.  If pign isn't anything special as you said, you can still mine a freakin boatload and sell for 4cents and profit hard.

Good luck!  I'm still mining RVN too so all good here!

Premine was made, they pretend it was not!

AMD GPU LINUX MINER NOT WORKING!!

So if I have 13x AMD GPU. I can't mine this pigeon shiet.

Cause hey ... you can't do facking "windows" with 13xgpu... but what the fack do these noobs know?

They know a little scrypting ... copy/pasted a code and voila they have a coin...

"Because this is how you launch coin, not ready and with you're pants down..."

Yea it's the same 16 algos and they are still in a random order it's just slightly less random.  Literally the only thing they did was made it so the hashrate number in the miner be more even.  There is no actual benefit and it was like 10 lines of code.  No development of any value has been contributed by this team.

At best you could try to mine some to try for a quick flip but I wouldn't waste your BTC trying to buy, I can't see any value here.  They just cloned a repo and skinned the wallet, all marketing hype and no substance.  They even used a polygonal bird for the logo.  It's sickening.

from the github

Can the kernels there be substituted for most of the kernels for this algo?

Or is that already done with the miner brian brought out?

My opinion "Does not promise anything new.  copy paste project. (copy x16r algo and paste del random write shuffle it is new algo x16s )  It's a useless project that tries to take advantage of ravencoin's popularity."

amen brother.. a16s seems to be a good smart improvement of x16r, so RVN devs can easily adopt it into RVN and continue on theirs roadmap. PGN is proof of concept only, not real coin at all. RVN has community and skilled fulltime devs, PGN has one student, the smart one but still one student without experiences with leading big projects, or company in general. So thanks to x16s, DEvs can consider merge them into RVN, but that's all
Wasn't Bitcoin proof of concept too? Smiley
