I have used pay to click sites before and I have to say that most sites already did Freebitcoin to death,,, so even if users eventually signed up, the cookies in their browser probably already belong to the original advertiser. Am I right to assume this is how referrals are tracked OP? I know because I used to do affiliate PTC ads before. You can suddenly get a signup even after many months!

The fastest and quickest way is through paid advertising. Of course, that means the quickest way to deplete your available budget. Even then, your referrals are a gamble. You might end up with over 95% dead ones. I can speak from experience.

I cannot agree more with you on that, I started back in the day with aggressive marketing of my ref link and even created my own expensive banners for sites. The people click and create accounts out of curiosity and then they simply stop using the site. So out of ever 100 people signing up for the site... roughly 5% stay a little bit longer.... then it goes down to almost 1%.

The good thing I have noticed is with the launch of new features a lot of them return for a while, like when the Lambo raffle was launched. So the advertising from Freebitco.in also help with the return of old refs.

                              It is one thing getting massive amounts of refs, but getting them to stay active is a whole other story.

It's not an easy task to get referrals on freebitco.in nowadays. It's very popular website, big part of crypto users already have accounts there. There is few methods how you can promote your ref links.
Buy ad slots using advertising networks. It's not free method, but it can be quite effective.
Post ref links on forums (where it's allowed). Offer refback to get more interest.
Promote ref links on social network. It's not very effective method and too active promotion could lead to ban of account.
And mot effective method for me - promote affiliate link on personal website or blog. Offcourse, first of all you need to get traffic to your website.

I agree, I did the same when I first started with this site, I got most of my refs from other forums back in the day but have since stopped trying to get refs as most like you said don't stay active and just click once or twice and then leave and never return. However I have had one ref return after not being active for like 1 year and is super active now which I'm happy with. Trying to get active refs are hit and miss but it just takes one active ref to make some nice passive income and even better if that ref is a gambler.

There is a cookie for the referral link you first use to visit the site so if you don't delete that cookie and come back and sign up later the original referrer will be used.

That is kinda bonkers, they must have signed up ages ago surely or just never reinstall.   I have referred people but mostly nothing doing.   I cant complain in general though as referral can be very advantageous if you get the right audience and they become clientele.    When BTC ramps up and gets into the news and surely it does every couple years or so then maybe having referred previously will work out so long as they remember this site.

I agree, I did the same when I first started with this site, I got most of my refs from other forums back in the day but have since stopped trying to get refs as most like you said don't stay active and just click once or twice and then leave and never return. I too had used this strategy in the past but I got lazy and stopped promoting my referral link, however I know a guy who’s yet doing this and he offers 90% of the referral earnings back to his refferals, and you’ll will be surprised to know that he’s yet able to get new referrals and even the old ones are working for him. It’s also pertinent to note that I’m his old referral and till date whenever I click I get my weekly commission from him, so I would suggest you’ll to visit those forums and start promoting again because there’s potential to collect new referrals and earn from them.

This is all about luck as well becasue I also invest some amount for promotion with my referral link but sadly I never have any one even no one create account with my code its really shocking for me so now I stop this all but many still can do if have luck for this and extra income.
