So was the 6x estimate payout for the BTC price prediction fair for you all those who placed their prediction bets I mean? Seems pretty big actually, though I'll have to see exactly what price was when the bet came out;)

The thing is bitcoin price can move so frantically we have seen the last month and how it ended with a lot different than what people assumed. Of course, the bet gets closed a week before or so and that means you can't make up the difference on the last day or anything since that would be unfair, so what we have here is people who have no idea what bitcoin will be like in a week wagering what it will be in a week.

Last month it was mostly $9-$10k averages yet it ended under $9k, winners did get a lot of money I am sure but that also should be a cautionary tale to everyone who wants to bet from now on. You may bet on $8.5k-$9k averages but it may end in $11k as well or maybe $6k too, this is bitcoin and we may never know what it will do.

Fixed prices over time is part what makes stability in a price, even if its not the high BTC price wanted, is an actual positive because it allows greater confidence over time in settlement.

I understand that Trump has the best chances of winning the race for presidency, but taking into account that unexpected things happen frequently these days, I think betting on "Others" is worthy of consideration.

I made my bet on "Others" months ago, when, as far as I can remember, the outcome odds were much higher than they are today.

We shouldn't forget that the two most heavily betted on election events was US presidential 2016 and Brexit, both happened near each other and both saw the unlikely opponent win, I kinda regretted not going for Trump or Brexit but you know, who could have known it would happen? The media all said the wrong things, even polls were wrong, so that tells me the democrats and rich people were all in control:P I think Trump is sure to win again. He's just popular simple as that.

Think about it... Trump's alternatives are (were) Joe Biden (a train wreck)... and Bernie Sanders (the guy talks like he is about to get drowned or have an heart attack)

Well, I understand why USA presidential topic could be so important because that does reflect to other nations as well. Look at world political movement turning more right after Trump got elected and you will see that not only whole of USA changes which does impact the world but also the world politics changes as well.

Unfortunately, Bernie Sanders looks like he might be not getting any nomination once again because on super Tuesday the young voters didn't go out to vote, I understand that there was HUGE lines and some people literally stood there for 8 hours to be able to vote and that is one of the reasons why establishment always wins but if you put Joe Biden at the nomination Trump will literally destroy him with a record breaking electoral vote to become president again. If I had to wager NOW, I would put Trump (unfortunately) again as the 2020 president.

Too biased mindrust,  Biden is folksy and Sanders is loved for the impossible promises.   Sure they are a little worn on support on the edges, not great credibility for the swing voters.  Either is possible as a candidate, alot of people love impossible promises and I even agree with the healthcare argument tbh so I cant under rate that.    Bernie has a great image and quite diverse age range, etc.  I can see why he is still in the running.  A contender yet with the underdog feel

Thats the problem with bettors when they arent biased enough they make the odds unattractive to me.    By far the most likely outcome is Trump wins, thats history and circumstance of a second term president who leads the country away from recession.   I'm not saying its anything to be put to his credit but thats how it works mostly and the FED is quite compliant in cutting rates.  Volcker put rates at 15% in the eighties and the man was a saint for having the backbone to do so as it was a requirement and now its not even an option or in any way likely, monetary saturation probably stops any contraction.  The virus is a curve ball but its lethality to working age people is not high, oil falling is an aid to costs etc.    We report these figures in retrospect anyway, even if this summer was 2 quarter of retraction the correct figures would not release till 2021 maybe and my source for that is 2007 and 08 historic figures.   Obama was an easy call back then, I dont see that now.

Well I think back about Brexit and they were saying the alternatives to EU were crazy former mayors of London and far right fascists.
