Why is it so hard to catch these scammers? Why authorities don't take them seriously even though when they steal millions of dollars?

Basically, because there are located in countries where authorities won't take these kinds of scams to seriously, third world countries in which law is slow and weak, unable to keep the pace to catch all scammers in those countries.
It is very different to be a professional scammer in the United States than it is being a professional scammer based on India or some African country.

In this case, those who are behind Freebitcoin have the advantage of being based in a country where law is slow. Those people would be already indicted and in jail if they were in the European Union or the USA. I am sure of it.

It is not difficult to catch them (especially if their identity is known), but the fact is that some US agency will not spend its resources on such cases if their citizens are not harmed in large numbers. If it is true that the main person in all this has diplomatic immunity and obviously good political protection, then it is not surprising that nothing is happening (at least for now).

I think I have seen more than just a couple of people filling formal complaints to authorities here on this thread... And considering the huge amount of users who were active on this casino, I would expect thousands of complaints to have already been filled against Freebitcoin.

And I agree, it is not just about having pointless chatter, but also to spread the word on what happened and keep ourselves up-to-date on the state of this on going scam...

I have very specific investigation I cannot write here, but I posted it to Fincen and IC3.gov. I also cooperate with European authority. This guy will once be in jail as THIS IS THE BIGGEST SCAM IN BITCOIN HISTORY!
Some people here write that he has a "diplomatic imunity" - nonsense!! Even if..... they do not know what imunity is. This is private thing, not political.

It is not about nobody doing anything; it is about the fact that we are not doing anything. Do we know their names? Do we know who owned it? Do we know if anyone is willing to start legal action against them? This is the reason. They did steal, and they got away with it, because nobody knows who is behind it as an info, and nobody is willing to get a class action lawsuit going as well.

If there was a class action lawsuit, then it would be something that is getting done, and the government would have to spend resources on it; everyone would be able to follow the case, and the owner(s) would be put in jail without a doubt. However, since nobody knows exactly who is behind it- not just a nickname or anything- I mean, like their Social Security number type of detail, not even just a name. And nobody is really willing to do anything about it either. The moment people go and do that, we will see something happen; until then, owners do not have a reason to pay up.

Yes, that's the way to go and it's always worth to fight. If people don't fight and they won't create a discomfort for Freebitco's owner, he will be relaxed and will not hesitate to continue scamming people in the future but if we give him at least a headache, he might think twice and in the best case, we might caught him and he will pay for his sins.

Scammers never change their mind in favor of victims, that is how they operate, so it is obvious that if there is some change in favor of victims, it will be because of the actions of victims themselves, who would have pushed the legal system on their respective jurisdictions.

Also, that talking point about diplomatic immunity is bs... Diplomats can be also be found guilty of committing crimes abroad and also in their own motherland. They can get accountable, it just happens to be more difficult, depending on the charges... But it is not impossible as some people make it sound like.

As far as I know, diplomatic immunity doesn't mean as much as people make it appear here and he doesn't have a full diplomatic agent status, which comes with the strongest immunity. Generally, someone with diplomatic immunity can't be arrested or detained in a host country but a sending country can waive that immunity and the diplomat will be sent to the sending country. A host country can't waive immunity but they can declare the diplomat as persona non grata and ask the sending state to waive the diplomatic status.

Also, I want to state that just the fact that someone has a diplomatic immunity, doesn't mean that they can commit all sort of crimes and be untouchable.

Who are these people, why don't you mention their names? The fact is that there is one person who is very likely behind everything, who has been identified and is currently serving as an honorary consul in a certain country. All this information was presented in the Investigation board, but most of those who write in this topic do not even know that such a board even exists on the forum.

I don't understand this reference to "diplomatic immunity" at all...
 I can’t figure out where this information came from or what the point of posting this is. Even if it’s possible to get around this with "immunity" in some places, in every other country it would be a crime, a major financial crime, that would inevitably result in punishment. In short, it seems more like manipulation or an attempt to draw attention to the author.
