Saw this study on twitter... https://twitter.com/Zeex_me/status/978981735101878272I've seen a lot of people asking about how many legit ICOs there are, so I thought I'd share Quote from the article: "The study begins by breaking down ICOs into 6 groups: Scam, Failed, Gone Dead, Dwindling, Promising, Successful. “On the basis of the above classification,” they wrote, “we found that approximately 81% of ICO’s were Scams, ~6% Failed, ~5% had Gone Dead, and ~8% went on to trade on a exchange.” "Scams were defined by researchers as “Any project that expressed availability of [an] ICO investment (through a website publishing, ANN thread, or social media posting with a contribution address), did not have/had no intention of fulfilling project development duties with the funds, and/or was deemed by the community (message boards, website or other online information) to be a scam.” DYOR people ... That's why on 2018 is the biggest scam ICO ever. But don't worry about it, I mean it's still like 20% is truly ICO. The great ICO assessed from many aspects, like the background of their team, the roadmap, also the innovation they created to solve a problem. So, you must read the whitepaper, ANN Thread to get to understand the purpose of the project they created. Don't forget to check the ICO rating too like on ICObench, ICO rating, ICO marks, etc. If identity of their team is clear and you understand with the project they created I think you don't need to hesitate to invest with them.

There is no doubt about this and where the unfavorable market conditions have made it difficult to raise softcap for most ICO's which make them eventually fold up and are all in the same tag as scam by some persons

I would even tell that all 98% in the current market of ICO are scam. Of course it also influenced those the remained 2% of projects, it becomes more difficult to them to raise funds for development of the idea.

Truly, numerous ICOs are tricks, however I truly don't believe that the number rate is around 80%. I figure it might be fifty-fifty. Yet, in the event that that is genuine in view of the genuine information, we should be more watchful. It is an ideal opportunity to pick the most confided in ICO to take an interest. I'm certain that there are as yet numerous great ICOs with a genuine item. hence, it is smarter to break down them precisely in view of the information and our exploration of the data on their web, whitepaper, and network.

I don’t think so because most of the ICO are legit and if it is scaxm therefore the government itself make it banned forever through lots of scams, therefore this thing is false and gossip only.

Don't know how many ICOs are scams but it is definitely pretty easy way to get million of dollars in exchange for just a fairy tale.

Yes, now there are a lot of scam projects, but I think such projects are about 30%. Now there are many not successful projects.

Yes, I agree, now very much coins have sagged and because of this, few people invest in ico, projects do not even collect soft cap on ico , and a lot of scams

In my own opinion, there are still trusted ico's out there that will pay you a decent amount of reward if you are just going to find them and look at their white paper before starting to join.

Scam projects are much smaller. But now about 50% of ICOs that do not reach soft cap. Or the price of a coin when entering the exchange is much lower than the price of an ICO.

I totally agree with this! Back then it's not like many ICOs are scams but for the past few months almost all ICOs are turning into a scam or should i say it's already a scam before we knew it was. So be careful in investing in ICO, it's not the same anymore

There are certainly ICO tricks skimming around. To think of it as a "trick," The instigators should deliberately have no plans to assemble something, they just need to raise assets for their pockets. Truly, some may resemble a trick, perhaps it's since they are inept in the first place - simply equipped with elevated objectives in their whitepaper. Visionaries without aptitudes. I think many fall into this class. Hell, simply take a gander at Gofundme - there are numerous in there.

80% of projects today have really very negative feedback, but it may be that projects simply do not do anything because they do not want to withdraw money at such prices as today, because if a new wave starts, then projects will develop?

When prices go up will be much more good projects . Now many developers are migrating as many ICO investors are not willing to invest their money in ICO industry. Because at the moment the market drops, which gives a negative mood in the community.

I dont know the basis of their findings but I do agree with their statements. There are several scam projects out there and that is why I think in some few years to come there wouldnt be anything like ICO since all investors wouldnt be ready to invest. several other ICOs fail because they lack real life application and commitment from team.

I am always impressed by the guarantee of a quick return on investment and a stable high income. If the interest rate on the project site makes you think that it sounds too good, then most likely it only sounds good. But in reality you can not see not only the promised fabulous payments, but also your own funds.
