Maybe even more than 80%, but to have those remaining revolutionary, good ones it's all worth it IMO! Same like .com bubble, a lot of shite disappeared but the great projects like Amazon remained alive.

Honestly there are loads of phony ICO right now and it even end up hard to know those phony ICO in order to maintain a strategic distance from them. In spite of the fact that one of the approaches to know the numerous phony ICO is to ensure we get some information about them like knowing the correct the venture is about and perusing their whitepaper to check whether it is a commendable task and worth squandering the time on.

It's like the truth. And if you count projects that will eventually disappear after trading on the stock exchange, then the figure, in general, will become very large

yeah right . even  if lots of ico are scams , there are still few that is worth it because they did already became succesful .

the dot com bubble that you are talking about is not an ico , therfore you cannot compare it here because we are only talking about ico in this thread and not other types or forms of scams .

anyway ,  knowing that the number of scam ico's are growing each day , it is now unsafe to participate on an ico . so better we just try out some other legit investments such as cryptos (e.g bitcoin and etherium )

Yes you are definitely right. I have found too many scammed ICO. They just only want to rob you as much as they can. But there are very good searches available to check whether a ICO is a scam or not.
Do proper research before investing in any ICO.

It seems to me that the scam of projects is less than 80%.  But there are a lot of unsuccessful companies now.

I don't agree with their opinion telling us ICO is 80% Scam. maybe i will go for 50-50. cause most are legit you need to see first the People behind the project if its really real person or not.  I am talking about it because of my own experience. Some period in a past I had been participated in many ICO projects. And only a few brought me any results.  Grin Grin Grin Grin

Now there are a lot of projects that do not reach soft cap or the price of a coin in the market is much lower than the ICO price and it's very bad.

I do not think the percentage is so big. According to my calculations, SCAM is about 15-20%. In the rest though and not the big payments, but they are.

Second, most ICO projects are just hype, which is why countries are adopting laws to restrict ICO.
Correct, most ICOs are just hyped to generate money from investors but there are also legitimate ICOs and so sad to say that they are affected by all these scams.

From where did you took those stats? I am more than sure in that it is not the way that you are claiming in there. Let's be realistic, the market is not good at the moment, and there are more and more scammy coins at the moment, and this is sad

It's sad but true. Indeed, this area attracts both good developers who want to change the world, and scammers. We need more quality refers to the selection of ICO.

You can choose a strong ICO project and get a good income, but you go to any casino and necessarily leave from there without money.
So think for yourself. There are also good projects. I can not say that all the scammers are straight. but not without it.

I think now there really are a lot of scam projects, less than 80%, but a lot.  And I advise you to take the time to find a good company.

It is extremely appalling however it is a reality. The trick ICOs are notwithstanding developing in numbers contrasted with the previous years. Directing an ICO is less demanding than conventional crowdfunding that is the reason it is an objective of numerous con artists. I trust this will be controlled as needs be. Trick ICOs are one reason why cryptographic money is debasing and having awful notoriety.

You exaggerate, in fact, this percentage is several times less. About 50 % of all ICO-scams , I do not think that this figure can be catastrophically large

Now a lot of projects that do not reach the soft cap.  I think the scam projects are about 20-30%.  So be careful.
