As with all investments, there is always the risk that you can lose it all. I would suggest that you do better research before you invest as there are plenty of scam ICOs out there, and of course, only invest with what you are prepared / can afford to lose.

Of course you can lose it, but if you read whitepapers properly, of you look closely at the website or talk to people in  ommunity you can protect yourself

Agree with a few here that team is essential, but don't forget that TBAR were totally public and turned out to be criminals.

Add to team the need that the ico fulfills. Is it something that is necessary or will make the world a better place? Do people want what it does?

Then go into metrics. Is there too much coin supply?

But even after all this....

I went in pretty hard with Invacio. Massive idea and great team. Small supply. Price crashed due to factors outside control of the project. I still believe in it and will continue hodling for the long term, but it's a mess when everything looked so good.

Got into Howdoo on presale, and with the state of facebook's reputation, I reckon that will go well. Team and hype is good for this one. Fingers crossed.

The new one I'm checking out at the moment is Contract Vault. It's run by lawyers, so I reckon they know the repercussions of any fraud. It also fulfills a need that I hadn't thought of - contracts, buying and selling templates and customs. Token is necessary for the platform, but everything gets converted automatically from fiat, so for non-crypto users, it's no big deal. Thinking of investing a little there. Looks good to me.

Ultimately, everything can look good, but hey ... this is crypto. You never know which will crash and burn, even if everything looks great.

investment in ICO with negative characteristics in General should be avoided. Of course, sometimes there are factors that prevail even over this. For example, earlier projects that can make ICO attractive in terms of speculation. Then you won't have any problems.

A lot of people are now being disrupted in ICO and in crypto-currencies, because they have patience and they do not want to wait for anything and want to get everything right now, I think that this will not exactly happen, because crypto-currencies are a very risky long-term occupation.

Before you can invest in anything, you need to carefully understand this or that sphere. There are many projects in which you can earn. In general, I would like that the authorities at least somehow began to regulate the ICO, that would avoid deception.
Regulation on the one hand is good, but it seems to me that if they start to regulate the ICO projects, they will take on investors, and then we will have to pay some interest or get a license for investment. Although there is always a way out of the situation ...

You just need to find a good one, for example LYMPO ICO was more than successful, btw you can still buy tokens, they are underpriced Cheesy

I haven't done many yet. Pretty new to the ico game, but problem is, the whitepapers are great adverts and then you get the product home and it doesn't do what they promised. So many screw ups too. Token distribution delayed. Exchange problems. Don't know anything about Bitclave, but I've heard the name. Like I said, I'm looking at Contract Vault too. It's all lawyers in Switzerland, so probably not a scam. Website looks pretty pro. 10x would be bloody great.

I reckon the days of 100x are behind us now. I guess I got into crypto too late.

Maybe you just bought some shitcoins and bought at a bad time.  In the last few months, nearly all the ico drop the price below the ico price. Only a little icos get returns to investors.

So you should invest the ico you trust, and pay more attention on that.

I suggest do your own research first before entering some investment. Most of ICO are not good because they dons have unique product. A lot of ICO when already availbale in the market the value already triple. or possible you are not luck to those coin.

i invested in 3 ico but they all make me uprooted.
1. ATFS
2. BEZOP
3. LEDU
and i think this ico causes bitcoin and etherium prices to drop.never trust again to ico.
Before you invest in any ICO's you must do some research first check their details, description and who's behindi on it that is very important if its reliable and trustworthy. But I can only advise you to stop investing in ICO's because not all ICO's are becoming successfull in their project and can only lead to become a scammer.

I've heard of them. Swiss based, if you can't trust the Swiss, who can you trust?

There is something disturbing and that's from the scammers just thinking for a moment and not thinking about the future if everyone loses confidence in the ico generated from the scammer. But I do not give up because there is still much we can get with ICO, because not all ICO is bad. if they really give up, there will be no more ICO, and altcoin will die.

Anyone who makes cheese with holes in has my vote. I think I'm going to go in on Contract vault. Pretty good bonus at the moment, but not so big that whales dump on release.

Now closer to the autumn, the market will start to turn green again and those ICOs that will place their tokens on the exchanges during this period will again be successful.

I would recommend to invest in ICO only if you have enoungh experience in crypto currency investing. If you have learned to do a fundamental analysis of the already existing altcyins, to determine their prospects, then try only ICO investments. This is much more difficult, but the profit here is massively more.

If you experience a failure and loss is certainly a sense of confidence you start to go down. This I think is very reasonable considering the price of the coins is very difficult to be predicted, going up and down so quickly that makes you impatient. Maybe you need to consider before you take the decision to purchase coins Because it's very important to get an advantage.
