It's not hard to understand why it's going down, the miners are using it to pay their electric bill. Most miners don't mine for investment, they mine to ROI their cards and pay their rent. Most miners are probably broke ass college kids trying to find beer money using free college electricity.

It has nothing to do with this dude. Ravencoin price is going down because market is going down. Miner is same miners, no changes.

Current doom scenario will change soon.
All market will turn better later this year, which usually happen.
I call it as annual cycle of the crypto market.
Happy time to come for all, in particular smart investors who bought at lows.

Kind of a general reply to some posts I've recently seen here.  IMO ravencoin is doing better than some of the various other cryptos out there.  A few recent ones with a similar approach to being ASIC proof, that don't seem to be doing that well.  They're not really on any significant exchanges and their hash rates aren't so great.

Other things I've noticed is a lack of updates on their blogs and Dev teams that don't seem to be organized.

I like the lack of an ICO because I've read a few times of the ICO raising millions on whatever coin and then it vanishes, aka mega fraud happening.

I am curious about the aftermath of the %51 attack but I also somewhat assume that the risk of one comes with block chain technology and any crypto in such an early stage of its life.  Starting to wonder that I should create an account and follow things on discord.

If there were a revenue-generating application do you think that would help showcase the value of Raven coin. Maybe something that secured assets, was used for subscriptions and a loyalty and reward program

A revenu-generating application would surely help showcase Ravencoin as there is hardly or even no application at all that is making profit as of today.

I have a good one but need a coder.  I haven the market and everything else just can't write code and don't have the money to pay a freelancer.

when COINBASE?  Grin Shocked Tongue

but seriously...with the backing this quiet (for a reason) project seems to have, it'd be nuts not to invest so cheap and early.

overstock CEO and company is already deep into RVN which is awesome...then you have more building blocks he's got coming:

Overstock has invested in 12 blockchain– or cryptocurrency–related companies. These include tZero, for which Byrne also serves as CEO and which describes itself as a “distributed ledger platform for capital markets.” They also include Bitt.com, which began offering digital payment services to the Caribbean nations of Barbados and Montserrat in early 2018.

I think a lot of people are in the same situation. You would have to put your idea into concrete terms and either put it out there and see if someone gets back to you or use freelancer websites to find someone that you could partner up with.

Ravencoin will surely surpass lots of coins in the future. Being asic proof algo. Another thing, I heard that devs of ravencoin came from the btc development. That is why it easily came to listed to bittrex. Connection has a lot to do with being listed  on great exchanges. I'm still mining ravencoin even though right now it is on a loosing side. I'm just accumulating as lots of coins as I can.

now at least i have read something without mn sale, no premine, no ico, no airdrop. i think if that is true , then maybe this is the one that you can call fair distribution.

Is there a possibility (and when) for RVN to be listed on Ledger nano S?

Please explain to dumb person what means in my ravencoin wallet "Asset Activation Status Waiting until 31.10.2020".
Do I need to wait for so long to do something or it doesn't mean anything? Can I send my ravencoins to everywhere I want before that time and so on? Or I will get rich on 31.10.2020?

Kind of what it states, literally.  Asset layer is to activate in late October.  Interestingly though, I am noting that not everyone seems to have the same date.  I at first thought it was a typo in another post.  Mine has the 30th of next month (which ironically and humorously happens to be Devils Night in the U.S., preceding Halloween).

The asset layer hasn't been activated yet, is supposed to then.  Yeah 2020 seems to be really late.  Someone else posted October 18, this year.  Mine's set for the 30th(October).  To my knowledge and what I've interpreted, it's when they take the asset layer feature out of beta or testing (or whatever), and switch it on in the 'mainnet', the normal blockchain network that isn't for testing.

It is actually on the roadmap thing on the website(I think, now I wonder where I've seen it).  Now I wonder if everyone has a slightly different date for it.  If all goes well I suspect the value of ravencoin will go up as it now has this new feature added and is working.  Can't say much on the getting rich part  Cheesy  all I can assure you is that the sun will rise the next day.

I do wonder that it's something to be gradually switched on in case something goes wrong and or for load balancing reasons on the network.

Asset layer activation is same for everyone. Why few people are experiencing difference dates it may because if times differences in their local machines setting and their wallets shows the date in local time. There are big players who have funded the development for Ravencoin but don't expect immediate spike in market once the asset layer will be integrated on main net.

Different dates are showing for different people due to what version of the wallet they are running.  If you are running any wallet version after 15.99 and up to/including 2.04, you should see the date as Oct 31, 2018.  However, a new version 2.0.4.1 was released to fix the inherited bitcoin bug that left some pretty big vulnerabilities (which everyone will hopefully DL as soon as possible)  The devs changed the asset voting date to 2020 so that people would need to update one more time to the final release version (2.1) that should be available in a couple weeks. This update will put back the Oct 31, 2018 voting date to get it all back on track.

This whole process was done because it resolved some potential issues on the back end for development, and shouldn't cause any issues for people who update to the new version as soon as it becomes available.
