Which pool would be ideally the best for the E3?

I think until you get your $1876+ back, +power costs, pool fees and software fees, this asic will turn into $15 scrap metal, as many other models did. With gpus you will lost much less.

I'm willing to bet that basically any Ethash pool should work on the E3, Z9 mini only supposedly had issues because it was submitting shares extremely quickly compared to GPUs and the pool would reject shares from the miner as a result.

You're forgetting the many people who bought the E3 at $800- even with today's mining environment, the break even time at that price and $0.10/kWh electricity is still well under a year as of now and likely won't explode as much as previous algos without ASICs like X11- the E3 isn't a lot more powerful than a GPU rig and some fine-tuned GPU rigs can outperform the E3 in both power and hashrate performance, though I do agree difficulty will indeed rise and profitability will drop, although I don't think it'll be as much as algos like X11 or Blake2b in the past.

The asic manufactures seem to have learned from thier cryptonite mistake
now they slowly add hidden hash instead of destorying the hashrate too fast

I think it's crazy a lot ppl here are all for asic look at the a3 it's now negative so it's proven again unless you are a first batch buyer or big miner with connections you will loose money you can't even roi without having to buy a bigger asic to keep up is this a problem with gpus only depends on what u mine but it's ok everyone keep throwing your money at bitmain and support asic but kill crypto mining

I think if you took the plunge and managed to get the miner for $800, then you will most likely ROI.

Since this ASIC was released the difficulty hardly climbed that much. Back then people were assuming we would get crazy jumps in difficulty and most were scared to make the purchase.

Also there was the fact that ETH might fork to a different algo which scared off a few people.

Just wait till all E3's will be sent to the clients and F3's will be plugged in in their place.

I seriously doubt there will be a diff climb because of these miners.  They aren't more efficient than GPU's.  As a matter of fact rigs running 1080ti's with the Eth Enlargement Pill are probably quite a bit more efficient and hash better than these by a decent margin.   I don't have any 1080ti rigs running to run the numbers, but at initial glance that would appear to be the case.  I am sure someone who is running those rigs can chime in and tell us their experience.

So I don't think these rigs are going to do much if anything on the ETH network unless they are selling them like gangbusters which from looking at the batch number increase, but the dates stay the same it would imply they may not be selling as fast as Bitmain had hoped.  I think the fear of ASIC's can be warranted when the technology disrupts the status quo, but in this case it didn't as these did not change the hash rates or economic factors for mining Ethash.  I don't see how the fear in this case is warranted.

btw, I haven't gotten my shipping notice yet for mine.

The difficulty will not increase because it was already mining for bitmain. Bitmain is just turning them off, putting in boxes and delivering to the buyers after 4 months. The difficulty doubled in 1 month and the asics are the reason for that cause it was viable to build and put them to mine at that time, also pay attention that difficulty is not increasing right now cause there is not much to gain from it, so bitmain is using their resources where they can get the most from it and ethash is not on that list.

The f3 while is 10 times the hashrate of a the e3, is not worth x other algo which can give bitmain a lot more money at moment. Selling the e3 was the best thing bitmain ever did, clear the garbage inventory and at same time use that money to build other profitable things.

the ethereum mining network is extremely vast.

I dont think a few rounds of these particular asics will affect the difficulty all that much.

obviously this is a new thing for me about that information, but I think it is just the addition of exchange only and ethereum remain faithful in accompanying bitcoin and will not be eliminated in the world of crypto

RE: 1080TIs

Can confirm 310-313MH@1109 Wall Watts.

4 x MSI 1080TI Founders
2 x ASUS 1080TI Turbo

Back in early 2017, bought as many Founders cards as possible. The per-slot deployment cost was only marginally higher given we could push 42MH per card at the time. ETH Enlargement gave us P104+ performance on the consumer cards.

If 580s weren’t down to $180-$200, the 104-100s would still be a good deal at $600.
Arguably still are, if you want a flexible hash board for shitcoins.

Right now, its still possible to put an 8-card 580 rig that easily pushes 235MH@+/-1200 Wall Watts.
All-in cost should be about $2000, not counting the likely 30-50% resale value you’ll find on consumer gaming cards.

A few months ago there were some rumors floating that Bitmain were having trouble sourcing DDR, as the risk lots they purchased in Taiwan didn’t yield well. With B3 still advertising for July, I’m doubting this.
Agree with most though, this should not juke the difficulty too high.

Now if this F3 nonsense is real. Perhaps the 72GB requirement will keep them off net for a while?
https://www.reddit.com/r/EtherMining/comments/88igmr/antminer_f3_confirmed_waiting_for_official/

Note: 3GB cards will be dropping off the network in a few DAGs. I’ll be curious to see how many large deployment we’re betting on switching their 3GB P100s to ZCash after the DAG grew.

180 MH is not crashed GPU miners.
Bitmain need 5825 E3 to hit 1 TH/s on ETH network and this is only 0.45% rising from this network hashrate  Grin

My E3 arrives today. Unfortunately the PSU I also ordered for it hasn't even shipped yet. Thanks Bitmain Sad Hoping I have something with enough power and connectors to drive it.

I received mine this afternoon. The pool configuration is different than I expected. The default entries username fields are ETH wallet addresses, so I assume as of now it will only let me direct mine to my wallet via Antpool. At least I guess so, I haven't been able to find any other setup information (Real info) for the E3.

I tried some random pools, Supernova and NiceHash's ASIC pool, but neither worked. The entries I had in the username field were not the same as what appeared under "username" on the miner status page.

So, unless anyone else has this figured out already, I guess I will just hope this is somehow directly mining to my wallet.
