PTS is extremely confusing to me.

When I receive shares of a DAC, where are they? How can I move / sell / use / get dividends off these shares...

It's extremely confusing for the laymen

As long as you hold PTS in your personal wallet when a snapshot is taken your shares are in the genesis block of the new DAC.  All you have to do is import your PTS wallet keys into the new DAC once released.

BitShares import how to:

Definitely keep PTS in your own wallet. No reason to give anyone else the private keys. Unless I am mistaken.

Anyways PTS is great. Get in while the market is small, reap the rewards later.

I believe btc38 and bter have both indicated that they will be honoring the BitShares PTS snapshots.  I'll have to look around for the relevant posts and add them here later.  Of course like others have said the best bet is just to have them in your own wallet.

yes they have. I guess it depends on your trading strategy. if you plan on holding them for the long run, then sure, move them to your wallet where they're safe. If you prefer to trade asap then i guess its better to leave them on the exchanges. not to mention that if things follow the path of btsx, people will be able to sell at a slightly higher price once the exchange grants members their shares. This is because withdrawals and deposits will possibly only be allowed later, meaning there will be a small dump and then you will be able to buy again at lower prices

Stratis: Same supply as Ethereum + Masternodes + ICOs + Bitcoin a Core Dev. 90% cheaper than Eth. Do the math.

Bter also was granting an extra 1% for all BTSX deposits and charging 1% for all BTSX withdraws.  I suppose to give incentive to keep on the exchange so they can use the stake to vote their own delegates, earn extra BTSX.

so far only BTER and BTC38 are honouring the snapshot.

August 21 is coming, so if you hold PTS in other exchanges talk with them to honour the snapshot or transfer the PTS back to your wallet you control the privat keys.

Been lots of debate lately about which is better, DPOS or POW?  Good article explaining DPOS here http://bitshares.org/what-is-proof-of-stake/

Maybe Poloniex can be convinced. They have just integrated BitShares X.

There is also talks of replacing PoW in BitShares PTS with DPOS long term. That would be interesting. Give everyone who holds BitShares PTS a 1:1 in a DPOS-based PTS.

Yes, that's the same PTS. Looks like the "joke" is on OP in that article, as the vaporware he was so convinced PTS was hawking has actually materialized... I believe there has been one official and one 3rd party snapshot already (LottoShares and BitSharesX). Despite the fledgling BitShares team having been rough around the edges insofar as marketing and presentation in the early days, I think the fact that they delivered some groundbreaking new technology in their initial DAC offering speaks to their focus on the product and motivation to solve the problems crypto-equities are facing today instead of trying to sell snake oil with a flashy website and marketing campaign while still in heavy development.

Looking forward to many returns from PTS!

I needed to know if it was instamined or not, I don't care about features for premined/instamined coins.

Godaddy fubared the DNS record somehow when ownership of the forums changed hands to a dedicated team (bitsapphire). You can get to the forum at https://184.154.208.204/.
