Not likely to happen. Surely there are governments who banned bitcoin but there are so many countries who are neutral on using bitcoin and some of them even officially accepted bitcoin in their country.

Some people like me just do not care about what governments are doing. Besides, a few governments cannot change the world. They may ban BTC but other governments will look at it and see an opportunity.
You may also remember the prohibition last century in the US. Alcohol was forbidden, but plenty of people didn't respect the law and kept on drinking, and the government had to reverse the law.
I can't tell the future, but I can't imagine BTC being killed by governments.

With Governments Banning Bitcoins. Its Going To be Dead By 2020. As Countries Follow Banning It. 95 % Of People Won't Do Anything Illegal If It's Banned By Government. So I Think Its Time To Cash Out And Cut Your Loses. Because It Is Going To Keep Dropping.
Great job on spreading fud but sorry, people in this forum isn't that dumb to believe your baseless claims. We have been enslaved by the banks enough already for many years. People want freedom and people are willing to fight for it. Governments will always try to get rid of this industry but they will never succeed. Bitcoins and this industry has already become too big for that. Some leaders may ban it because of closed minds but there will also be leaders that will adapt this great innovation because they see the improvements that it can offer to their countries. And if the close minded leaders see how this industry have made the other countries that adopted its innovation become more successful and more superior, they will be forced to change their minds and adapt to the situation because if they don't they will be left behind. Instead of spreading fud, be more productive and accumulate as much as you can before you miss out on this great situation.

The government of any country doesn't want to accept such as changes first, whether it is MLM or digital currency. The world is now better than developed, so the govt. can't deny the existence of digital currency in the term of globalization.May be govt. will't accept it for few years or temporary stop or charge more tax but can't ban for ever.

I disagree. Bitcoin will not die even if it is banned b some countries because as soon as there are people who still patronized bitcoin, bitcoin will still be alive. Maybe because of the banning, fluctuation in bitcoin may occur but I don't think it will come to point that bitcoin will say goodbye to its users. I believe that it will become stronger as it reaches 2020.

Do you even know the difference between banning bitcoins and regulations on bitcoins? I don't remember whether there is any country that has banned bitcoin over the last one year. There are some issues going on created by bankers in India but there are no truth of bitcoin being banned by Indian government. Here you can get the idea of what the govt. of India think of cryptocurrency. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D9xY8_nc04gYes regulations have been implemented, bitcoin taxation have begun and no one can say they didn't expect these these movement from governments. You saw some negative news, mere speculations, you took the decision to create FUD on here? If you think it is time for you to cash out then do it. No one cares about your FUD. No Need To Take It Personally Buddy, This Is A Poll. I Value Your Opinion. But Clearly, You Don't Follow News Nor Do You Know What Has Happened In A Year. Let Alone A Year. In The Last Few Weeks. But As U Said These Movements From Governments Were Expected. Well, They Have Begun And Are Hurting Bitcoin Bigtime. If You Haven't Noticed. So I Was Just Stating My Opinion. Did Not Mean To Offend You Or Anyone In Anyway. Don't Like It. Don't Bother Posting. That's ridiculous. I included a video link of Subhash Chandra Garg's interview who I think is associated with Indian RBI- so that you could get some sense. Clearly you haven't got any. Do you even know that one of the main reasons the market is down is because of the ongoing tax season in USA where people selling their bitcoins to pay taxes, another big reason is Mt. Gox liqudiating the market with their remaining bitcoins. I sense you don't have a clue what is exactly going on here. I am guessing the market will come back to a healthy position once we go into May. So I Think Its Time To Cash Out And Cut Your Loses. Because It Is Going To Keep Dropping.
You've created a poll that's okay but WTH is this? Keep these sort of ideas to yourself.

The beauty of Bitcoin lies in its decentralized nature. Government can ban institutions under them from facilitating any kind of crypto trading but can't ban people from trading when we have access to all sort of anonymous platform from TOR to mixers. Government can never ban cryptocurrencies just like the dark web. They don't have any control over it and hence, are scared. Many governments around the world advice people to not invest in cryptos, but the number of investors is only increasing since the inception of bitcoin. Cryptocurrencies aren't going to die at all, rather the market will get mature with time.

neither drugs are banned in every single country in the worlds, but the people that use it still exist. Why would Bitcoin completely destroy though? I believe you do not completely understand how the blockchain technologies work.

There are countries that are banning the use of bitcoin as well as other cryptocurrencies. But this does not imply that all the other governments will be banning bitcoin. If you are very sure on you words then can you post an announcement coming from countries that they will ban bitcoin, place the list here. There are very few countries that have banned bitcoin, thus this mean that bitcoin is working on still expanding on the other countries of the world. 2020 is a very rich year for bitcoin.
I agree with you .. there are some countries that prohibit bitcoin and alt coin others as currency. but it's just a little bit. and 2020 is the year waiting for by the crypto community With Governments Banning Bitcoins. Its Going To be Dead By 2020. As Countries Follow Banning It. 95 % Of People Won't Do Anything Illegal If It's Banned By Government. So I Think Its Time To Cash Out And Cut Your Loses. what will fall? do you just make an uncertain issue, spread the word without any link or image recommendations? is there any recent news about the bitcoin ban in the country being discussed? what do you think about bitcoin in 2020. I do not agree with what you are talking about. this is all bullshit

It is banned by which country? India and China? If you look at the countries that oppose the bitcoin you can predict if it is going to be huge in 2020 or dead coin. It only can lose its market dominance over the years.

How can you say that? Do you have any proof or sources to back up your claim? There are no news regarding about this. Cryptos are the new trend and killing that trend will result to the loss of governments.

cannot be true and a hundred percent will never happen. Not all governments want to shut down bitcoin, they just want to regulate it. IF there will be a country which can accommodate bitcoin, then this one will never vanish.

This seems to be a very rare scenario that could be seen in the future . Many governments are opening their arms in favor of legalizing or say "regulating" bitcoin and that is just the beginning . If the countries keep on accepting bitcoin in their economy then many other countries will be positively influenced and do the same thing . But we must always look out for the second side of the coin . If maximum governments and major governments ban bitcoin and other crypto currencies people would be highly discouraged an will stop investing eventually because there will be no way to cash out .

are you sure the world will ban crypto? but I see a good development in bitcoin, not just bitcoin, but also the crypto world.
do not you see that now many countries are aware that bitcoin and crypto world is a solution to improve the world order, so banning bitcoin and crypto will only make the public more aware.

Actually governments of almost every developed and under developing countries know better that these coins are amazing. They know the advantages of them and how they beautifully would be impacting on their economical position once they would be used internationally. But keeping all these things ignored, they only focusing on being centralized nature of bitcoins, which is impossible.

Where did this 2020 number come out from? Is it backed up by some actual facts or its just an opinion? Its true that governments around the world started to ban bitcoin and crypto-related ads however the reason why it took 9 years for them to announced this statement is because scammers are trying to use bitcoin phrase to scam people. Bitcoin has a long history instead of other cryptocurrencies, the others who can't compete with bitcoin might be dead but i think it need more than banning to stop bitcoin.

Your opinion may be correct. Many people have committed suicide because of Cryptocurrency. Because most of the people who make the product are just for scams and it has had a lot of impact on nonprofessional investors. Perhaps this is a new industry not so successful because it is not protected by law. This is likely to be a bitcoin weakness, which could cause the Crypto market to crash rapidly.
