are you sure about french? if you look at their performance I think french only has a 20-30% chance to reach the final. great opportunities will remain in possession by germany. by seeing the performance of those who are on fire it will be a very good step towards the champion

I am pretty sure Germany is going to defend its title this year. The last games showed how competitive they still are; assuming they will play even better at the tournament since germans are best when there is something to win. 

Your opinion is very good. Germany is a great team with amazing players and maybe it will defend its title this year, As you said they always play even better when they are in a tournament. Germany is one of top 5 team, which I predict to win the world cup, I think we will watch a very good match in this world cup, I am excited too much for this tournament.

so why is most of these prediction based on countries in europe?

Did you can see what happened in the last quarter final CL Barca vs Rome  and Real madrid vs Juve?

Both two spanish giant almost got eliminate by these two other italian team!
Sadly, the referee had to apply football politic's in the match against juve in order not to loose the number's of fan's who will be helding to watch the final competition.

To them semifinal and final competition's will be non-profitable biz without these two team.

So, my prediction goes to any country in Africa. Probably Nigerian's because they are having one of the young/fast growing soccer team in Africa.

This is one hell of a prediction that I see no practicability of it coming into reality because no African country has enough preparation to lift the cup. While its no doubt that there is need for some human activity to ensure that either Real Madrid or Barcelona moves to the semifinals which then transcends to the final because of the amount of population either of the two teams would take along, no African country commands such respect in the world football tournament. The highest they could be assisted to would be say Quarterfinals or the semis while all efforts would be focused on the football giants if they can make it that far such as Spain, Brazil, Italy, Portugal, Germany etc.

I’m going to predict Brazil to win this summer’s world cup, I just feel they have many players coming into their peak & will do it after a long wait (for them).

I’m going to predict Brazil to win this summer’s world cup, I just feel they have many players coming into their peak & will do it after a long wait (for them).

This all depends on Neymar being in top shape though after his surgery. If there’s no Neymar then I think maybe Germany to win it.

For sure Neymar is one of the main players but it doesn't mean that he is the only player to drag his team to win. The team work of Brazilians is brilliant, that's why it is my heart favourite.
I am hoping for Brazil to win.

I think the most powerful team in Russia is Germany and maybe they can keep the Trophy world cup. But defending champions is a more difficult thing so it could be Germany's trouble. Argentina are also still good but their performance in the last few games is not convincing. I hope there will be a surprise in the World Cup like Portugal will win in the last Euro.

It's hard to predict because many teams are good on this year.Germany,Spain,Brazil,France all the teams look good.But I think Spain and Brazil are the most dangerous team of this world cup.Spain have some golden player like Costa,Isco,Ramos,Iniesta.OTOH, Brazil have neymar,marcelo,Alves,Silva,Jesus.I am sure this world cup will be huge and exciting and am eagerly waiting for this.

It's a bit too early to discuss about upcoming World Cup, we still don't know squards of teams. And now it's possible that some important players can get injuries in national leagues and that can change odds seriously.
Which teams are favorites? Germany, France, Spain, Belgium maybe. I will support Spain. After bad performance in World cup 2014 and Euro 2016 I believe that they can be great again. Germany are strong like always. France also are serious contender. I think that Belgium can impress us. With players that they have, they must go far, their squad is one of the most powerful in the world.
Sad to say, but Argentina have no chance to win trophy. And I don't believe that Portugal can make something similar what they did in Euro 2016.

No one can predict the winner unless it's rigged like uefa i have some trust on fifa but as usual i think most likely this year also Germany is also looking hot this , Portugal make be a good challenge but argentina is surely not going to win this year it looks like messi has been completely out of form lately and brazil will surely screw up during the semi if i were to predict i would go with germany

I do not think it's for Brazil, I think Brazil is now the worst brazil in several generations. Brazil is not bad now, but the quality of the previous Brazil team is better than I think now. I do not favor Brazil, but for Germany and Spain I agree. Especially Germany, the depth of the German squad is very strong from senior players to young players

I think it's too early to predict, but for the semi-finals, the last 4 teams in my opinion would be Belgium, Spain, Germany and a South American team. Belgium will be the dark horses in this tournament. South Americans are ferocious and hard working so their grit will take them that far, and there has been at least one south American team in the semis in that last four world cups I believe. For me I will go for the underdog, as we will enjoy the story that way, so i guess Belgium from my selection.

Italy were awful last World Cup 2014 and they play boring football so I personally won't miss them much. It would be a pity if teams like Belgium, Iceland or Germany were to not attend.
