I think Spain will be difficult to win this world competition, unlike two to three years, the composition of the Spanish players is now very different from the year back ,,

Almost everyone believes that Germany is the team most likely to win. I think Germany and Brazil are two of the best but better Germans, young players and senior German players like no difference, they are ok in juniors and seniors. While in Brazil, they are ok but their many senior players are up, I mean their performance has been very down. But their trio, Gabriel Jesus, Coutinho and Neymar always play well.

I agree German and Brazil will be the favorite team to win FIFA WORLD CUP. Because it has good quality players, between players and backup players have the same quality.

Nonetheless, I don't agree if you see one eye France national team. France has talented young players and spears at his club. Just say it Kylian Mbappé who became a bullet in PSG, Pogba at Manchester United and Oesman Dembele in Barcelona. They are players who can change the situation of the team, and I guess France will qualify in the semi-finals.

Loew managed to bring Germany won the 2014 World Cup trophy in Brazil. Germany also managed to fill the first rank of FIFA rankings after winning the Confederations Cup and qualifying for Russia as group winners by always winning in the qualifying phase. Well I know Germany became the most favored team in the world cup later. We'll see who will be the champion, whether German is able to defend champion.

You got to be kidding me. How can you even doubt France's ability? Have you seen the depth in their squad? Let's begin with the Forwards. We have Griezmann, Giroud, Mbappe, Martial, Coman, Payet. In what universe is the starting weak? Coming down to midfield, we have Pogba, Matuidi, Anelka. Defence is again as strong as it can get with the likes of Raphael Varane. I am definitely counting on France to lift this year's world cup. My second contender would be Argentina.

No doubt that France has a good attacking line but in winning of team, all the teams members play an equal and important role and not only attacking can help France to win the game. You are saying that we have Varane but single Varane can do nothing at the defense as you people have got no other good defender in team and one thing more in football defense matters more than attacking.

Did you forgot that Italy failed to qualify for the event? During the qualifiers, Italy was placed in a tough group, along with Spain. They finished 2nd, but then lost the playoffs to Sweden.

Now, Argetina as a candidate? maybe they are contender because of their history in World Cups but other than that...did you see the team in the WC qualification? the team was a complete disaster from start to finish, if it wasn't because they had Messi in that last match against Ecuador, they wouldn't be in this World Cup. And that last match vs Spain a month ago? they lost 6-1, abysmal performance with a manager who doesn't even know what the team is playing (tactics) and still doesn't which players he should have in the final 23-man WC squad. IMO, France, Germany, Brazil, Spain, have a higher chance of winning this world cup than Argentina.

This is a team sports, so its obviously that everyone here supports his own country. But there are teams cut above the rest that's why they are called the favorites. Spain, Italy Germany and Argentina for me. However, being tagged as the favorites carry a lot of pressure and weight on their shoulders. This is one of the biggest sporting events this year and I'm sure that everyone is glued to their TV screens cheering for their country.  Few more days to go and we are all set to see our idols to play hehehehe.

Group A - Uruguay and Russia. Egypt is a little bit better then Russia at the moment, but FIFA usually lets the host country through.
Group B - Portugal and Spain. In case of a lousy performance by Portugal, Iran could get through, but that is a far stretch.

I would never have said that France will be winners in the end, but when I look at the brackets, it looks very possible. They will only play against teams that suit them.

That was some good information. Honestly, I never dug that deep into the history of FIFA. Besides, history was never my subject because all I get excited about is future. What is the use of dwelling in to the past while it’s gone? I am expecting FIFA 2018 to take the breaths away of all the spectators. Everyone is so excited and waiting for 14th June. I want Brazil to win this world cup.
