Bitmain hasn't let me down yet. take it easy bro Bitmain also afraid that their products cant sold out, (S2) so they play this Pre-order type its okay, but till now, their service and product always the best for now its best that you dont rush them to send you a half asses product just wait patiently

Hi Guys, I have a new AntMiner S2. It seems like the Hardware Errors are way higher than I would expect. I purchased this miner from a UK seller on Amazon as "New". However, I now have my doubts and am worried that its a dud. Please see the image below at the link below (my onedrive account) for a screen shot of the status page from the miner. On BTC Guild this miners accepted shares is only 38% after 30mins. Thanks for any advice you can provide guys. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?resid=CBA562CDD838050C!8383&authkey=!AFBcq7gQgAliDfU&v=3&ithint=photo%2c.jpg

Please leave the S2 running for 10 minutes on btc Guild. Then click on the dashboard -> reset worker stats and check for another 10 minutes.

The announcement clearly states AUGUST or SEPTEMBER, don't expect anything else to be announced till the last couple days of July at the soonest on this project. They have their hands full with S3 as it is.

According to Bitmain's ads for the S2 kits back when they had them, they stated that both S2 and S2 kits would be upgradable having the ability to swap out the boards with new boards containing the new chips. Based on the fact that Bitmain said the upgrade would bump the S2 up to around 2Th/s and considering the new S3 boards push about 240gh/s(so 10 boards would be around 2.4 th/s), I would put my money on the fact that the upgrade to the S2 will be a hardware upgrade. Also considering the new chips run at around 0.5w per gh/s a stock upgrade probably won't require a PSU grade(although if you want to OC you will probably need to). Anyways those are my thoughts.

If you go buy what Bitmain posted about their chip specs with a stock chip running at their low speed of 14.18 gh/s using 0.528w/gh and 16 chips per board(if the new boards are the same as the S3 boards just like the S1 was to the S2,mostly) that gives you 160 chips pulling just under 1200w(ps I'm not an electrical engineer so the I could be horribly wrong with my calcs). With that the chips would need to be underclocked in order to run off the 1000w PSU. As for price who knows I am hoping for cheap, but thinking probably around 1.5-2 btc.

Besides, I wouldn't call the price that you cite "at a very low cost" that Bitmain promised.

bitmain may consider that 'at very low costs' compared to what it costs him to make it... we may be nearing the costToBuild vs profitToMine which will lessen the diff jumps in the near future...?
