If you're dead set on getting an S3 (batch 1 even), we have 6 remaining on Amazon - but they're more expensive than purchasing direct with bitcoin (whenever batch 4 opens). Based on the last couple of days, I don't expect them to last through tomorrow.

Are there no more S3 available for purchase? Is the third batch already totally ordered? I expect the next batch (batch4?) to appear when they start delivery of batch 1 It looks like they are stretched to maximum for their supply chain. Long pre-order times are not part of their regular plans.

I can wait for the next batch.

Some thoughts on the maths of the 10% discount voucher:-
If a batch 1 order (pair of miners) was 1.50 BTc then the voucher will be worth 0.15 BTc
So a future order for Batch 4? will have a starting price of (pair of miners) 1.35 BTc
Deduct the market reduction Bitmain have been applying of at least(pair of miners) 0.05 BTc = 1.30 BTc maximum (copied from the Batch 3 price)
Then you arrive at 1.30 Btc less the voucher of 0.15 BTc
This puts a Batch4? (pair of miners) at a net cost of 1.15 BTc
By the time the backlog of orders are cleared, then another market reduction will be needed. (another 0.05 BTc)
By the 20th of this month we should expect to pay no more than 1.10 BTc for a pair of Batch4? miners.
Does anyone agree with my figures?

So I am not sure of this 10% discount voucher you are talking about but if you are referring to the expected coupon from purchasing a previous batch I am going to have to disagree with you a bit. First off there has to date only been a 0.025 Btc drop in price between batches, therefore batch four will more than likely cost 1.425 for the pair of S3s. Now as for the discount or coupon we, hopefully, will receive for purchasing batch 1 or 2 S3s, I wouldn't bet on it being for more S3s. When I purchased my S1s I got coupons for a S2, while I did hear of people getting coupons for S1s I never did. With that being said if Bitmain still has stock on S2s I would not be surprised to see a coupon for those until stock runs out and then perhaps a coupon for an S2 upgrade or maybe the S4(if one ever gets released). Also as the S3 is going to be Bitmain's bread and butter for a bit I wouldn't expect them discount them too much too rapidly. That being said I would expect a batch 4 release price of .71-ish or .7 per unit. Anyways those are my thoughts and if I missed something about the 10% voucher in a previous post please disregard my rambling. Edit: Okay so I just got the 10% voucher notice for my batch 1 order. Yes there will be a 10% credit towards a future S3 order or a 7.77% discount on my existing order. With that when batch 4(or if 3 ever reopens) we will probably be looking at a pair of discounted S3s for probably a number of 1.28 btc.

Now if they made that S1 upgrade kit with the corrected hardware and allowed you to apply the 10% off coupon to the upgrade kit, things could get very interesting.......

What do you mean by "corrected" hardware? I have a bunch of S1's that I plan to replace with S3's, but if it is cheaper to upgrade my S1's I'd rather go that route.

You have bought B1~B3 of S3. We will issue you a 10% value coupon. However, you have the option to give up the coupon and apply a 7.7% refund.
So if i apply for the coupon or refund will my antminer order still be valid?
any reason why antminer is doing this? because of delay?

S3 specs were reduced from 478 GH/s down to 441 GH/s, so they are refunding/discounting to fix it

If you log into your Bitmain account (assuming that you placed an order for the S3), you'll see that you are offered either a 10% coupon or 7.7% refund. There have been multiple posts by BITMAIN stating that this is due to their findings while testing the production run S3's. Cheers

Does anyone have any idea of when these things will ship? I ordered a few out of B1 (which was said to ship by 07.10.2014), and then more from B3 (which was said to ship by 07.20.2014). I thought that the 10%off/7.7%ref offer was to make up for the delay - but now i am reading about the decrease in hashing performance from 478GH/s to 441GH/s.
I just really want to know when i might see a shipping confirmation email, and then these things on my doorstep! Any info from BitMain on the new, adjusted timelines?

Initially B1 was supposed to ship between 10th and 20th of July. Adjusted date was 14th to 17th.

For the orders I've placed, I usually get them about the same day... sometimes tracking number the day before, but usually about the same time as I get the package. I tell you, people are really really paranoid... this is Bitmain... not BFL lol. How Bitmain handled a change in specs : Apology + Refund or coupon How most mining manufactures handle change in specs: "F*ck you - you'll take what we give you"
