In actual all types of Investment are better thing for us but we need to understand them throughout and make better better descions that how to handle for perfect profit .
Here I myself is in this field since 2013 and found that both type of Investment are perfect for us .
But if we are going for short term investment then that is much risky and much amount we needed to out for the Investment and opposite of this if we are going with the long term then we need to hold asset for long term which is also profitable but that consume much time .
The best option to make profit is ICO but in perfect ICO not in any ICO .
If you will make Investment in any coin or ICO blindly then I don't think you will get profit always .

Investing in the cryptocurrency market is best if you have a long-term investment if you are profitable, you have to learn to be patient, do not panic when the market is down, because this is just the market fluctuations. . Cryptocurrency is a new potential market, it is easily affected by bad news, however with great power the market will easily surpass and grow. I believe that in the next few years the market will stabilize and the price of crypto will be very high.

So far in my own experience in trading, i preferred to choose the long term investment but you have to watch it or you might wanna miss your chances of selling it. But you can still sell it with your other crypto currency by just doing the diversification in order for your holdings to not lose everything with the price that you bought from it.
Short trading is a bit messy if you missed out the market and it will require you to watch the chart 24 hours a day if you don't want to lose some good opportunity.

Yes first fix one amount in your mind if you reach that target sell your coins don't become greedy. if you become greedy then you will not make any profit. I am not sure how many coins will live long term I think most of the coins will disappear so time to time sell your coins and make a profit.

Long-term for me. It is much much easier.

If you are looking for short-term coins, then you need to know which coin is about to pump - so you need to hear news before most of the market is aware of it, which means keeping up with a lot of news. Also you need to know good entry and exit points, and be confident and experienced at trading.
Short-term looks easy in retrospect, but is not so easy at the time.
But for long-term, you just need to do some research to identify a good project, then buy and hold.
