That all depends of risk/reward ratio and how much risk you are willing to take.For short term its probably the best to watch cryptocurrencty calendar so you can see when some altcoin have something improtant for it and sell on that pump.Long is simple buy btc and wait 100k to sell it  Some coins are good for long term and some are just pumping and dumping in short term. Basically it will depend on your analysis, but if you want a hassle free investment go but great coins and hold on it in long term higher profit will come to you for sure. |

I think the problem is not longterm or shortterm but it's which coin you're going to invest in. If it's good coin in top 10 on coinmarketcap, I think it's good choice for longterm investment but if it's not, you just should invest for shortterm and cash out as long as you earned.

Both, I always research new coins to invest long term, in the meantime I'm always trading, usually with the big three (btc,eth,ltc). Take in mind that short term investments in cryptos require a good amount of knowledge about them, you have to dedicate a lot of time and always be updated on news, you would also need to learn some technical analysis which is hard for most people and that's why they prefer long term where you don't have to worry about price swings so much.

I stick to opinion that for next 2 years you should hold,as long as big capitals haven't entered crypto maktet yet. By short term trading you can lose big movement which can make you rich

Short term or Long Term investment?
I say it depends on the coin's whitepaper and roadmap and the purpose of the coin.
If the WP and roadmap is being executed without delays it will be good for long term,
otherwise coins that are always into PnD are best for swing/day trades; short term.

All the coins are not successfully in future so altcoins are convince to short term investment but Bitcoin is more preferable in long term and Ethereum also good investment in long term but others are unpredictable so many altcoins are down in anytime better invest in Bitcoin is the more secure investment. This year many peoples are investing in Cryptocurrency because it is the best profitable platform in both short and long term. |

Long term If you don’t have time to watch the fluctuation and if you don’t have sense what is exact lowest price and high price at short time. Short term is a time consuming and you might trap with the changes of market trends as you can't sell your coins while on dip unless you can afford to loss your funds. Long term investment makes you feel comfortable as it's not time bounded as you're only waiting the best price at your desire profits. |

Its always depend on you mate, if you have the courage to take the risk on day trading you can choose it, but if you want to play safer without taking so much risk, it should be great for you to choose long term investment. This two types of investment plan could be both profitable in a different way with a different level of risk, so choose where you are better and more comfortable, to avoid of losing a lot of money and to avoid of repentance later. |

I am utterly for long term investment because the more patient you are the more profits you gain. Let us take bitcoin for an example, if you bought it when it was $2000, you would have gained a big profits when it had reached $20k. On the other hand, short term investments can be risky because first, they are not trustworthy as there are many scams, and second, you are not sure that their prices will grow.

For me if I can do both there should be no question. Both can be profitable but it will depend on what coin are you going to hold, whether it is for short term or long term. Bitcoin is the best choice for long term investment as well as Ethereum. Both of these coins have survive biggest dumps and have proven that volatility is very playful but many people are still trusting these coins. When it comes to short term investment, it is hard to track which coin is in trend, besides many coins are available but we don't know which one have the potential for big profit. |

Despite you have to choose of long term method investment and short term method investment,we have also a good profit returned both of them, but depend upon to your skilled and knowledge although we know that when it comes to investment matter are also risk to managed them, if your not be able enough a knowledge both of them aside from that before you have to proceed at investment you must be know the essence of coin if have a good value and feature probably in the market ,before would you like to invest to make sure that you have a good profit returned after all.

the best way to invest is to invest and forget. once youved invested on a certain coin, make it feel that you already lose your money. investing in a high volatility crypto market is a big gamble so be ready enough to lose. |
