I would have kept btc it over to give fire this year than ethereum. Firstly because ethereum is decapitated, secondly more weak points are found in eth relative to btc for this year.

you must answer some question before buying this coins:
1- are you newbie or no?
2- are you holder or you are trader?
3- do you have strategy or no?

if you are newbie, i suggest you buy only BTC and also if you are holder buy BTC, if you are professional trader, you know that you must invest on BTC about 50-70% of your money. and trade with other 30-50%. also if you are holder for long term for example for the end of 2019 suggest you to buy ETH.

I do not agree with the opinion that if you are a beginner, then you should only buy Bitcoin, since Ethereum is the second coin on the market after Bitcoin, and it is really worth investing in.
