Question: Jupiters are selling for $20K+ on ebay. What to do?
We already made 300% USD ROI, let's sell to lock in this price at eBay
Let's sell it here, Coingig, or someplace similar
No, let's stay the course and keep mining.

R5/6 Update: As mentioned in the R15/16 threads, these Jupiters have been finicky.

I apologize for the inconvenience but Miner Hosting LLC has decided to ship these Jupiters to another vetted miner hosting facility in the US. They will be hosted at a DZMC vetted miner facility, with our 4th vetted miner host at a top notch hosting facility.

At the end of the month: DZMC veteran member thyatis will be taking over the hosting for these Jupiters in Florida. He has prior experience with a variety of different miners.

His setup includes:

- 120V or 220V power
- Triple network redundancy
- APC UPS units capable of 8 hours of backup time for 6 Jupiters
- Gas generators for longer outages
- Dedicated air conditioning for the miners

To compensate DZMC members for downtime during shipping and setup, on hand miners from other mfgs. will be substituted as equivalent hashrate until the Jupiters are up and running again in Florida. BTC earned from this be sent to thyatis, who will be handling payouts after some training, as part of the 1st thru 15th payout.

Please refer questions for miner in Florida. to DZMC vetted Miner Host: thyatis.

Thanks.

EDIT: Thomas will still be handling miner payouts.

Just to clarify:

I will compensate R5-6 for 1.2thash for 36hrs (much longer than it should take to get them up, if it takes longer it will be extended)
R15/16 will get 2.5thash for the same time frame

All 6 units will be UPS Overnighted w/ insurance, with delivery before noon, along with the PSUs.

Also: re: BTC for lost hashrate...

I'm not sure where anyone got the idea where we guaranteed hashrate.

We sold/sell chunks of fractional ownership of industrial class rigs that are frankly ALL experimental pieces of equipment. People may have gotten the mistaken assumption because BTC was offered up for problems in our 1 of a kind R9-12 offering of prototype Black Arrow Bitfury boards. That was a unique situation in that we were too optimistic about their performance and *volunteered* guaranteed hashrate for those experimental GB rounds.

As someone who's spent 11 years in the R&D world, please believe me when I say there isn't a TRL 9 equivalent miner on the market except for 1st gen offerings.

Expecting any of these miners to work 100% of the time is just not realistic at this point in time. They rush them out the door barely working and hope to patch things in software and hope people figure things out on their own without manuals or even company tech support.

If people want guaranteed hashrates: well, that's what mining contracts are for, and they're priced at a premium in order to keep to the agreed upon minimum guaranteed SLA.

Hi Everyone,

As it says up there ^^^^  I am taking over the hosting of these machines.  I am going to aim at making the transition as smoothly as possible.   I have started already preparing the area, and it will have like it says dedicated network, which has triple redundancy.  I have ups power that can handle 6 jupiters for 8 hours straight (if not longer). They will have dedicated cooling.
I have GAS powered generators if electricity is having some major issues.  I have also redundant buildings that I can move too.  My motive is to have as much redundancy in as possible.
I am extremely experienced in Datacenter development and many other IT fields.  I am also consistently active on the forums.
If you would like any more information from me send me a PM.
Thanks
Thyatis

I'm waiting on a share transfer to be finalized before making the 1 February payouts.
11 NMC were sold which added .103 BTC to the R5/R6 wallet.

The R5/R6 wallet currently has 3.583 BTC in it with the addition of the NMC sales - meaning the next payout will be .0179 BTC per share before expenses are subtracted.

Ok - transfer issue dealt with.   I don't have anything to do with R17 and don't have any shares in it, so I have no idea what problems you are talking about.

Also - I don't get paid for doing this, so I do it when I can.  It just so happens that I've been dealing with work problems since Friday afternoon and I haven't gotten more than a couple hours sleep between then and now.  Those problems seem to be dealt with finally, so I'm trying to get this done before I crash...

Here are the numbers for the R5/R6 payout - this includes the sale of NMC generated through Friday the 31st, and payments into the R5/R6 wallet that happened yesterday.

I'll be sending these out shortly:

Thanks, that payment was a nice surprise.

BTC mining is a strange game. The only winning move is not to play. Grin

I think, the delays in all the companies shipping is going to be good for this group buy and also 15/16.  As they will get approx. 2 months of decent mining by the looks of it.

these will earn 2.5-3 btc for the next payout

Obviously the difficulty is going to continue to grow, but if hashfast made delivery,  BA made delivery,  and cointerra actually shipped.  THese miners would be almost worthless.  This is just my thoughts and i have no numbers to correlate to it.

maybe you are correct maybe not.  if all the miners above shipped maybe btc jumps to 2k and our knc keeps on  making money.

the word if covers a lot.

Oh i agree but sometimes it is nice to just feel that out of all the delays etc that are going on there is some good.  Half glass full..... Smiley

And it is always good to look at USD$ it makes you feel even betteer.

Are our machines mining again? Can we see the hashrate again somehow? Thanks for your work!

Here are the numbers for the payout on the 15th.   These will be going out early on 16 Feb (Sunday morning) Central Standard Time - my internet has been up and down all day and I just finally managed to get the wallet sync'ed up.

I personally think we should. I know that I'm down to about .01BTC as of the last div, and it can't go up so we might as well make some money while BTC is low.

Does DZ still frequent this thread? I feel like we should move now before any rise in price happens.

+1 for sell

When I was younger we didn't have behavioural disorders. They called it "being a brat". It was as simple as that!
