To do day trading i think we not necesary to check chart everytimes, i also doing day trading and only spend about 3 to 4 hours aday for it, just make sure before decide to buy any coin make analysis and make research first and after bought it, set the stop loss and take profit, and check it tomorrow. You don't have to check every second for the price to make good trades, it gets really stressful and it will lead you to making mistakes like panic selling when the price goes down, trading requires patience and nerves of steel and if you keep stressing out about missing a good point to sell than it will affect your overall life, there are a lot of apps and websites that will send you notifications whenever the price reach a certain point to keep you updated and not looking at the charts 24/7.

Do you know there are people (including me) who just follow simple methodology of trading which is buy coins when the market goes into bearsih trend and hold and wait until the market turns itself back on. As soon as this happens we can sell the coins with good profits for ourselves. Why even bother watching those complex graphs and technical analysis. That has become trend now days but I don't think it is really needed in the crypto space. This market is delicate and keeps going up and down all time.

For day traders and short term traders you have to check the trends from time to time since price of Cryptos change in an instant. That is the advantage of being a long term trader, you Buy, you hodl and Sell after you reached your target month or year. Checking the charts is needed too but not quite like day traders. If you will be out or no access to charts or your exchange use stop loss in case there is a sudden drop of price in the coin or token you are holding.

We must avoid that in same manners as other traders did with their trading strategies. However its so hard to think of not being bothered by the price nowadays, because most of us wanted to earn sustainable price as we trade our tokens.

I do not even see any reason why someone who is holding long should be checking twice a day. Before I started trading, I only check my portfolio once in a week and that is even if I remembered.

Since I have been investing even before cryptocurrency, I have always learned never to get greedy and invest something that would keep giving you palpitation every time, but invest what you would not care about and focus on the long term since that is the essence. It was when I saw the opportunity that comes from the volatility that I purposely decided to learn how to trade and at least with that, depending on your style of trading, it becomes an obligation to check the chart but not as a result of panic.

Don't focus in a chart everyday because it will make stress because of what you see in the market.  Yes everyday the market price is changing but it will not rise in one night it takes time so don't frustrate your self to keep your eye on the charts.

Except if you are day trading or a short term trader, I do not even see any reason why anyone should be focusing so much on the chart as if their life depends on it. The market will always fluctuate but the idea as a holder is to focus on the long term which was the idea of investing anyway.

Still, so many people who wanted to get rich overnight, invested more than what they could afford to see go down or even borrowed loan just for that reason but they sure are the reasons behind their own problem. I agree that checking charts all the time isn't so helpful, it's history and it's not good to base your predictions solely on history. Keeping your mind calm and waiting for the future is holding, for sure safer way to make some profit without risking too much with trading.
I don't check charts all the time, when I do it's just for confirmation. When I have some plans I always check charts to see what happened in past weeks, or before, what can I expect, how high or deep price to go, it helps when I make decision when to buy or sell, but that help isn't so big, like I said it's more confirmation for my thinking, for my plans, I never watch too much chats, it's better to follow some people here on forum, Twitter and other places for good news that can affect the price.
