My Gigabyte 1080Ti Turbo is reaching 49.5 MH. It has always been a sluggish card compared to other 1080 Ti cards, so I wasn't even expecting that much of a boost.

Hello, so I have been messing around with this tool on my Asus gtx 1080ti turbo. And I've come across some very interesting findings. First of all I thought that this pill did not work but after hours of getting worse hashrates than I did being for using the tool I lowered my power from 70% to 60% and my hashrates started going up! I found this weird, but not as weird as what I did next... I started lowering the memory! I found the sweet spot! Unfortunately after hours of tweaking the best hashrates I could muster is 44mh. But that is still a huge upgrade over my previous 36! My final and vest settings for my card are as follows.
60% power
+97 mhz clock
-303 mhz memory

Does anyone know why it would possibly run best with negative memory?

Since this tool seems to tighten timings, it sounds like your GPU's memory just can't handle tight timings at the same clock speeds.

Timings control how many clock cycles go by before the memory will do any more work. The tighter timings are making your memory work during times it would otherwise be (sort of) dormant. Think of it as overclocking without touching the clock speeds.

Right, with this tool I was able to reach a much higher hashrate (+15-18%) on GTX 1080 despite dropping my memory overclocks down to near stock level.  Going to let it run and see if it's stable overnight, but definitely don't expect to reach the same overclock levels you used to with this tool active.

Hello! I used it some weeks ago with no problems and working fine. And actually I'm trying to use it but my pc crashes when executing (same PC, same drivers, same Windows versions). I have one 1080 and one 1080ti and Windows 10. Tried with no OC and always PC crash when executing pill. Any solution for this? Thanks in advance.

Generally speaking you cannot modify the bios on Nvidia GPUs. Don't mess with it unless you want to brick your video card.  As far as it not working with the pill you will need to provide some more information for anyone to diagnose the problem....

That card has had mixed results reported for some reason. Someone found it worked best with a negative memory 'overclock'! I'd recommend trying all sorts of timings, even random ones, and see how it goes.

I have 6 1080s rig.. Each 8 cards... 2 rigs are aorus... 4 new rigs because of "cheaper" price cheaper than 1070TI because nobody wants 1080 for mining lol for the price and with the help of this Pill.... works perfect.. better ROI

The Aorus... once stop mining program and Pill... always will sort of hang the system. and very slow and unresponsive.. Yes it can run @ 37.7mhz with 50% power limit.. with +940 mclock... worse... consumes more electricity.... compared to the MSI Gaming 1080

Initially, I thought it was old motherboard z270 A with Celeron processor.. upgrade the rig with Z370s with I3 8100 processor it's the same problem..very slow and unresponsive in the aorus rigs... with the pill on then stopping to tweak stuffs... It will run well if you don't touch the rigs..

My MSI Gaming 1080 rigs... Asus z370 A with i3 8100 2400mhz ram.... totally no problems...... stop program.. and just behave as per normal. and mclock can go up to +990mhz.... running 38mhz.... best still.... no external fan need to blow @ the cards..... The aorus despite 3 fans..... and Thicker heat sink... needs extra fan to blow @ the cards to cool..

Even the MSI rx580 behaves better than the Gigabyte aorus...

Asus is only good for their Motherboard... their cards are mainly "good" fan sleeve bearings... I prefer double ball bearings for the fans....

I was a little cash strap after building extra 4 rigs @ once... Will donate to you guys when I can spare.... Great program! Aussie Aussie Aussie!

I can't recommend EVGA cards enough, they even offered me an extended warranty period for my 1080ti for just 25€, so it now has 5 years of warranty (more details about that here). The "pill" worked on me too... I mean it worked on "it", not "me", I don't need any pill!

I got burned 2 times trying ASUS motherboards, the ROG series. In one case they had a problematic sound card that started crashing the system after the warranty period was over and I had to buy a PCI sound card.
The other ASUS had some issues with the memories and maybe the BIOS settings, at random times it wouldn't boot unless I would remove every RAM, start the system, shut it down, then put one more RAM stick and repeat until all RAMs are in place. Never got a BIOS update after the first few months of its release.

Only 1070ti here so there is nothing to gain with the pill but i'm pretty sure they have some magic sauce for other nvidia card.
Hope they will get some donation to support their work and release another pill for other cards

+1 more for EVGA's quality GPUs. I bought EVGA 1080ti which hash slightly lower than Zotac 1080ti's but i have never had problems with the EVGAs. The Zotac 1080tis crash more often and i had to send back 1 to get RMA-ed.

ASUS motherboards on the other hand, i feel are pretty good. At least the ASUS B250 mining expert motherboards i've been using have had no problems at all.

My Gigabyte G1 1080 on the default setting i get a  bsod  video_scheduler_internal_error
and rev A doesn't increase performance. will try my asus 1080ti another day

I know I'm late to the party (been doing Lyra2rev2 lately), but now ETH is more profitable on the pill.

Got 21 EVGA 1080Ti (SC and SC2) and they are all running around 50 MH's now.

Also working great on my 4x MSI 1080Ti Sea Hawk EK's and even my MSI 1080 Sea Hawk X.

Zotac 1080Ti Arcticstorm also swallowed the pill with no issue.

During this rough period, any edge helps!

Hi all. I have tried this and i dont get 50mh/s. I mean on miner its displayed but after some time, effective hashrate on pool is normal, like 35 mh/s per card??

I been using 11.8 for 2 weeks and it works great for me. I have 5 rigs and all of them run just fine. I'm at nanopool right now.
What is the issue for you?

am I the only one using ethminer? its capable of 54Mh if your overclock is, what is the benefit of phoenix/claymore? don't they have dev fees? why pay that if you don't have to

I dont know to be honest.  Its NVIDIA people.  Ethmine is updated all the time too.  I guess Claymore and Claymore Clone and Bminer are scratching their heads to why people use their software with nvidia cards.  I suppose it is *less* plug and play, or click to play.
