Can you post a full command line for ethminer??
I don't have any custom config in the commandline except --cuda-block-size 128 (which again is default iirc)

In section 5 of nvidia profile inspector
cuda force p2 state : off
power management mode : prefer max performance.

tried at +1000 mem does ~42.5 on phoenix and ~41.7 on ethminer
https://imgur.com/a/omD0M8z

I stuck at +550Mhz, got 38.4 MH/s Sad(((

Been using this for over a month, just didn't have time to post my result.

No crash and working as intended.

Tried it on Claymore and Phoenix and no problem

My 1080 Ti does 56mh/s and 1080 does 42mh/s. Got really lucky with the 1080 as it can OC +1000 stable

https://i.imgur.com/Hapg3Xh.png
Recent 23 hours of hashing log (had to turn off the pc to clean some stuff out), 0 stales/invalid shares

What model of 1080 and 1080ti do you have? Thanks!

I have MSI GTX 1080 Gaming X and MSI GTX 1080 Ti Armor.

Does your 1080 Ti get stable hashrate for a month ? and how much the effective hashrate what you got from the pool ?

if you getting 56 Mh/s hashrate consistently, I think you already have done the best OC for your 1080 Ti.

Core: Shouldn't matter much. I put mine on a fixed custom curve 1600mhz @ 0.8v
Memory. +360 exact / 5865mhz on MSI Afterburner . I found out putting higher value (such as 500) is not helpful but instead, finding a specific value helped tremendously. You should take some time and raise or lower it by increments of 10 as it's really sensitive to the change. Long time ago but I remember +500 only doing 52-52.5 on my card until I lowered it down. Must be due to some kind of timing

Yup. It's been hashing at stable 56mh/s for over a month with ~56.1 mh/s effect speed at pool.

Thanks for the information .....  i will spend my time to try your OC settings with my palit GTX1080Ti and look for the best stable hashrate.

it's really nice when the reported hashrate getting 56Mh/s consistently  Grin

My watercooled EVGA 1080ti SC2 will do 56. But I need the power limit to be set at 100%

I run it at 53MH @ 80% power limit instead

Can you post a full command line for ethminer??
I don't have any custom config in the commandline except --cuda-block-size 128 (which again is default iirc)

In section 5 of nvidia profile inspector
cuda force p2 state : off
power management mode : prefer max performance.

tried at +1000 mem does ~42.5 on phoenix and ~41.7 on ethminer
https://imgur.com/a/omD0M8z

The speeds make sense at these clocks.
I'm just wondering how you're able to even run these clocks so high in the first place. Is your rig in a freezer? Cheesy

Voltage is lower than even allowable with fixed voltage curves in MSI. They key is the mem clock with core clock being below regular algos. Mem also uses much less voltage to remain stable at these levels too.

I've found power usage to be between lyra2z use and reg algo use like x17 or x16r when using these settings as a baseline.

I can't make it work with NH, I see others had similar issue.

If I only enable Daggerhashimoto, it works fine, but that kind of defeats the whole purpose of NH. So it's good for mining directly, but what am I doing wrong on NH? It crashes at every algo switch, regardless of the OC settings. Crashes with core OC too, negative OC too.

In theory the 33 to 50  boost  on a 1080ti    should be better then any switching.

I simply  set to the 1 algo  Daggerhashimoto  and take the boost.

My 1080ti's are earning 50% more and power use is  very close to the same.

here are 2x 1080ti's and a ryzen 2700  pulling 500 watts  at 12 kwatts a day at 10 cents it is $1.20 in power at 20 cents it is $2.40 in power

https://www.nicehash.com/miner/146UJM5kgzLVUV23CXCf33KQKHckoX1gx3

so 4.20 - 1.20 = 3.00 a day profit

or 4.20 - 2.40 = 1.80  a day profit

gear is paid off  so  it is easy peasy

It crashes at every algo switch, regardless of the OC settings.

yeah my rigs are only vaguely stable with the way my overclocks are set and with the pill.  even just a brief network blip to the pool server and re-connection will crash a couple of my rigs, and I could forget about doing any kind of pool/algo switching on them.   so I just point them at eth and reboot every few hours :-/

I found some interesting results playing with the clocks.

On the MEM clock it seems to be a waveform, per se
On my setup, I would get say.... 52 at 750 but if I increase it just a bit to say 800 I get 53
- then increase it a bit more to 825 and it drops back to 52
- increase more to about 875 and I get 54
- more MEM to around 900 and it drops to 52
- kick it up to 925 and I get 55
- but go to 965 and it drops back to 52 - wtf?
- then finally 975 and I get 96.2 and soon after there is a crash

- >> the above numbers are approximate and should be adjusted for your machine
Mine was performed on a 1080Ti FE 11GB

And the CORE clock seems to do better as a slightly NEG #, overall
Every gtx 1080 ti has a personal settings - even the same Trademarks has a different mem clock. Could you, please, get the concrete values by AB?

My Gaming X acts very weird. Needs 240W power limit (while actually drawing 180W) and a negative clock offset to reach proper hashrate. Changing the clock has no effect until a miner restart.
Would a newer BIOS fix this?

Check sustained hashrates and not spikes.  Sample period needs to be consistent and large.

Nope. It's at 80%

Try 65%, i get 52-53 with only 65% power. Saves cost.
