the author(s) are not around here anymore that i know of. it is EOL anyway and no longer supported (officially anyway).

Hi, same thing happened to me couple a days before, my 1080TI hashrate dropped from 35 to 20 MH/s on ETH mining and LargementPill doesn't increase hashrate at all, non of settings has been changed for mounts!
Any suggestions? I have tried another drivers already...

Hi, I have the same problem. On my miner where I have win7 the hashrate has dropped to 21MH/s. And same happened on same card on HIVE OS.
Now I dont know how to solve this.

Try to increase the system RAM. I saw people solving this problem before with a 1070.
I saw people increasing RAM from 4GB to 8GB and the problem was solved.

I use strap 6 with cclock +125 mclock +450 powlim -20 and get 49mhs now on the aorus 1080ti. earlier was doing with -25 powlim getting 54mhs.

Had to increase power draw a bit.

1080ti has 11 gig ram , mine run at 50 mhs with eth pill

What settings are you using if I may ask?

I have the ASUS ROG 1080TI OC (14 of them) and they all went from 54Mhs to low 40s after the DAG update.  I haven't been able to get it back near 50 ever since.

Has anyone been able to and is willing to share the settings that worked for you?

I wondered if it had to do with the new DAG and the Pill is no longer as efficient as it was because of the changes?  I'm not smart enough to know so that's why I'm posting and hoping someone could enlighten us.

for me tdp 80 and core oc 90+ memory 0 gives same 49mh/sec using claymore miner and strap 2, but memory oc gives zero boost, it was good before dag update, now better to keep at 0, i tried many settings but memory oc has zero effects now mining dagger algo with 1080Ti, better to use 70 with 45mh/sec, since my 1080 doing fine with 36.5mh/sec hashrates, power usage increased from 770 to 800, so it's not worth it i think temps also 2-3 degrees hotter 4mh/sec for me not significant at this point, since i still have good 193mh/sec total hashrate with 4x1080 and one 1080ti, but maybe new driver update might fix this problem in the future, now 1080Ti memory oc give zero boost for me, i tried many miners already both with memory tweaks and pill, best hashrate is at memory 0 for my two fan zotac 1080Ti

I'm using claymore as well and I can't get back the old 54MHs like the old days no matter what setting I did.  So am I to understand that the new DAG did something to the Etherpill that the best we can get is 49MHs?

Oh heads up, if you have the regular ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080TI, you are right, the Mem OC having it at 0 is the best, the other settings did no difference.  I can't get more than 45MHs

However, using the ASUS ROG STRIX GTX 1080TI OC, using the +450 mem OC, it brings it up to 49MHs.

You using afterburner to set the +450 mem boost? With no OC whatsoever I get the 45 Mh/s, any OC including just the memory clock does not seem to have a positive effect. Also using the same card as you.

I got 6x asus 1080TI strix running on HiveOs. After trying different settings for hours and hours I ended up with a pretty weird setting. It is by far the most economical.

Mem -1200 ( which is in afterburner -600) 150W core +140 get's me a total of 250Mh/s. This is with phoenixminer -strap 2. No Pill.

Something is definitely broken with the pill. I wish somebody could fix it for us, dag 4gb caused is for sure. Feels like it should be a rather easy fix but I really can't be sure.

The pill doesn't work on my PC anymore 1080TI FE but the ones on the rig which are Gigabyte Gaming OC or whatever are still getting a decent boost. Not in the 50's anymore sadly but 47 is still good.

Has anyone been able to get their 1080 TI GPUs to mine over 46-50/mhs with the current DAG file with the pill?  To my surprise, I’m now mining about the same hashrate (46/mhs) without the pill, but I do have the P2 state off.  The straps on Phoneixminer and strap options on Claymore doesn’t seem to improve the hashrate much.  Is anyone still getting 50-54/mhs?  If so, how?

it's not the pill it's the Nvidia driver that doesn't account for DAG size increase.  You need to increase core clocks to 1600-1800 ranges to overcome the bottleneck.

Has any of you gotten the pill working on a laptop GTX 1080 card? I have the Asus ROG G703VI, that has the 200W GTX 1080. Having tried the r2 version normally and with the --revA command, it does not work in any way.
Btw, the laptop has very good cooling and whilist mining with Dagger, it's running at 55 C. It does 78 C in full load during games, which I absolutely love!

Regarding Eth, what I do is that I'm using the  "--memory-tweak" command in NBMiner, which makes the hash rate go from the average 22 MH/s to around 25 MH/s.

Regarding this, there is some strange behaviour occuring. At a regular pace, for short period of time (4-5mins), the hash rate for Dagger goes up to 35 MH/s and stays there. Also, the profitability almost triples. So from 24 MH/s (0.04600 mBTC), it goes to 35 MHs (0.12000). Maybe there is some sort of way or time during which the memory timings actually get applied on this mobile 1080?



PS: Regarding mining, I'm using NiceHash, where the only plugin activated is NBMiner (for Kawpow and Dagger). I'm using a manual set core clock set in Msi Afterburner with curve editor, so as to mimick the power limit setting. +850 mem does give good results and the gpu consumes 90W.

The eth pill makes a difference I used it years ago while I had strix 1080ti as a gaming card and was doing around 54-55mhs on eth however seems like recently people are stuck in the low 40s
That’s is a big difference 30% !!! Specially across 6 cards
I read the posts above and still looks inconclusive
Can anyone help answer a couple questions ?
1. Is there place to download the ehtpill from or is anyone able to share it ?
2. Does it still work or does increasing the clocks to 1600-1800 work and if so are we taking mid 40s 49? Back to 54-55?
Appreciate any feedback as it does affect my buying decision
