Yep, which comes out to something like $1229.47 per BCH. Not bad at all for those of us who held back in November at the record date.

Great that in the video Tom Lee says GBTC is now trading at only a 10% premium making the price more inline with reality.

BTG record date was December 4th, so expect that distribution within 90 days if you held GBTC then.

Some smaller coin forks they said they would not support (not worth the paperwork)

Does anyone know when the next legit BTC backed ETF will be tradeable? Is there anything on the horizon near term? I heard Winklevoss ETF reapplied???

The premium is increasing again.
GBTC is trading at $34-35K bitcoin equivalence.
Either premium would have to come down or btc would have to go above 30K (or both  Grin).

I am trying to wrap my head around the premium right now. I think it is simply market awareness. Most traditional investors do not want to manage their own assets so this is an easier path and surprisingly few people actually know gbtc exists. So with viral awareness comes these price spikes... thoughts???

Your guess is as good as mine. There has been no indication this will occur anytime soon. The government can sit on these applications and appeals for months and years. However, the futures trading of BTC does give another push towards legitimacy.

Yes, the premium has gone near 100% several times. No doubt there is BTC FOMO and GBTC is an easy way into bitcoin. How long it will last is anybodies guess, but I think it can stay near 100% premium for months at a time.

My notes tell me to sell when it clears a 70% premium and rebuy at around 10% - though I haven't sold yet this time around. Crazy end of the year stuff seems to be happening. :-)

It could be because new ETF's are wanted: News URL : http://uk.businessinsider.com/new-york-stock-exchange-looking-to-dive-into-bitcoin-with-2-new-etfs-2017-12?r=US&IR=T

Or it could be that bitcoin tanked and fear is driving the market, what a change in a few short days. Will buy back in but catching a falling knife takes courage.

This is becoming silly, as that fork is SegWit2x in name only. I guess I won't mind getting the dividend distribution, but I'm hoping the trust doesn't screw up at some point and run malicious code from a bad fork that steals the private keys...

I agree .. It's probably a CYA move on the Trust's  part ..

And plenty of warnings and doubt about this fork coming from this thread ..
