Is it possible he invested the funds into that new bank in cyprus ?
Maybe he owns a large number of shares.  Didn't he go to Cyprus ? Why would you go there and come back with nothing. It makes no sense.

I would guess he rather used the funds to arbitrage over gox.
As he said something like that:
"Money is there, but it is unavailable at the moment".

If you send him to bankruptcy you wont get back anything since he owes money in the thousands of bitcoins. And he dont have anything nearly enough privately to back this up.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

Anyone have any news on this?

I've been trying to contact him for 2 weeks now and he hasn't been on bitcointalk for a while and does not respond to messages anymore.

I've begun my investigation and the lawyers are about to get involved.

I wish it didn't have to end this way, but he has given me no choice and no way to contact him.

I anticipate this will end pretty quickly with a personal bankruptcy declaration from ukyo while the rest of us divvy up what little assets he has remaining.

I imagine he has assets in bitcoin that he will not disclose. He is likely going to have to come up with a very good explanation for what happened to the ukyo.loan and bitfunder/weexchange money or he will be facing fraud charges in addition. It does not look good for him.

There seems to be at least a few people who are owed >100 btc. They are not going to sit around and let all that money disappear.

I hope for his own sake that he comes back and posts something here.

So you hope that sueing him will bring more than it costs you because you believe that he somewhere has coins hidden?

Did you try contacting him on IRC? I always reach him after some days.

Please ALWAYS contact me through bitcointalk pm before sending someone coins.

I fail to see how involving lawyers will achieve anything, than enriching the lawyers. Please spend any money that was going on lawyers, on funds to pursue Jon for the next year or so. Pursue, in this case, means doing everything possible to publish his day-to-day movements and business dealings. That also means getting up close and personal with recording equipment, and will be the only act of disruption that will give the owed people leverage, and a chance to 'negotiate' what closure looks like.
Jon has been acting out exactly what his lawyer has been telling him for +6 months, and he will 'win'....especially if you get another lawyer involved IMO.

Request for information

I am requesting the 'Current company information' company extract document from ASIC ( https://connectonline.asic.gov.au/RegistrySearch/faces/landing/panelSearch.jspx?searchText=152308239&searchType=OrgAndBusNm&_adf.ctrl-state=tas6tde7z_4 ) regarding WeExchange Australia, Pty. Hi All,

I've been away and completely forgotten about my trapped (although tiny compared to some) bitcoins in Ukyo's wallet. They're still worth a nice sum to me though.

Last I caught up on things was that in February, Ukyo still couldn't give us a straight reason why the coins were stuck, there was a problem with a certain Block Chain number that crashed a few things and also mysterious Legal things going on preventing anyone from mentioning anything, and weexclaims was releasing ~0.000001% of the trapped funds

So... 7 months later.... what's the latest? Worst thing is that I forgotten my weexclaims password and do you think that the reset password function would work??

What ever happened to your investors money that went missing.... you know, while we are discussing missing funds Smiley ?
I feel we should have a  bake sale to help you recover some of your funds. Its terrible to think that Ukyo/Graet owe you money!!
I will bake scones, TF will you bring different jams and what not... together as a community we can hopefully atleast make things right, financially, for you.........

In all seriousness though... aren't you a little scared the same advice you are giving out about lawyers and small claims won't be used against you ?
