I think the main idea behind the creating of bitcoin was to provide a medium to help with transaction anywhere in the world. Also to create a system where everybody can see all transactions being made.....  I think Bitcoin was intended to be a digital currency which was to be operated in a decentralized system. Bitcoin hasn't failed as a currency. Bitcoin wasn't might to be an asset for people to invest in.

It has not failed totally. In fact, Bitcoin is still the number one cryptocurrency in use in the whole wide world. A lot of people are saying that Bitcoin is a failure as a currency but the data of the world is saying otherwise. My personal observation is a strong confirmation that among the so many cryptocurrencies right now, there is not a single business establishment that prefers other crypto than Bitcoin. And Bitcoin is paid more than any other crypto.

Bitcoin will be successful in the coming years because many companies are supporting bitcoin. Bitcoin will be more successful in the future even though there are situations that the price fall.

I think its just fine if people see Bitcoin as a investment, its just part of it and they're just making the best out of Bitcoin. For your concern, if Bitcoin stabilizes in the future and became suitable as currency, then people would start using Bitcoin as currency. Its just at the current moment people are just making the best out of the both worlds, Bitcoin as currency and Bitcoin as investment.

I think for now there is no chance for bitcoin to be used as currency because as we all know bitcoin is not stable, maybe in the future who knows because many establishment now support bitcoin.

Initially bitcoin was created by the developer satoshi Nakamoto as a digital currency which can be used all without hindrance all through out the globe but now, due to more demand of bitcoins and due to the rise in the price of bitcoins many consider this a good investment commodity as bitcoins always has a huge leap in the crypto market than any other investment commodity or asset but that does not mean that bitcoins failed as a currency still it can be used as a digital currency all through out the world.

Although bitcoin is still opening the door to predictions that may become currency. But I do not think that is the goal of bitcoin. In the current trend, decentralized supply is still prevalent and shows the support of a large number of investors and the crypto community. Therefore, we may need more time to see more important transformations from the crypto market.

you are right, the purpose of bitcoin at the moment is not the reason why people invest in it. for now people see it as an asset and just want to invest and make money instead of a regular source of transaction. but for sure soon its full purpose will be put in place

I think bitcoin can not replace fiat money because bitcoin is a digital asset dedicated to digital investment and has other reasons in every country. And if people are more confident in bitcoin than fiat money there will be inflation

Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

if bitcoin is used as currency in a country maybe it could happen, but it will be difficult. Why.?
because it will disrupt the development of a country based on the currency of each country. if bitcoin so currency no longer rich country and poor country all the same. In my opinion.

If for the long term it is very possible for bitcoin to be utilized a country as a means of transaction However, the government must be ready to bear all future risks if not able to control the bitcoin well.
