Sooner or later the crypto currency will get very widespread and someday it will replace the money we are accustomed to. But while its application is hampered by financial groups, well, the computer literacy of most people also leaves much to be desired.

bitcoin is not suitable as currency, because it is decentralized, fluctuative, and risky. bitcoin is not convenient as a transaction tool, bitcoin can only be an investment.

I think bitcoin is a digital currency but here is more likely in investing because bitcoin is so unstable or fluctuating that so many people use it to invest instead of being used in real terms because bitcoin is not a standard value.

Bitcoin does not seem to be my failure as a currency. Because I think that through a currency we can do it even through a bitcoin. Basically currency circulation is created to create commodity exchange value and in this case, Bitcoin is successful. We can do everything to buy and sell invisible coins with bitcoin. So Bitcoin is successful as a currency.

I don’t think the company of bitcoin failed as a currency because there are some shopping sites that still use as bitcoin in their services.
In other words the money they used in all transactions that they have are bitcoin just like alibaba did which is very great thing.

Bitcoin is very successful crypto and not a failure as said by others, indeed bitcoin is the most high price value tokens among others and rated as the top one coin in the coin market index, then bitcoin is slowly been recognized and accepted by banks ,stores ,esrablishment and even industries are starting to make collaboration with bitcoin, so where is the failure  as currency that it is popular nowadays in the cryptoworld.

Bitcoin was supposed to be used as a currency, not only a form of investment. However, it's been more successful as a form of investment, a "speculative asset".

Do you guys think that this can change in the long term ?

Bitcoin will not failed as a currency because there are some countries that use bitcoin as a legitimate form of payment and Bitcoin is an investment.

Possibilities are always open. I think this is about how the system works that makes it difficult to used as a currency. Volatility is creating a disadvantage. If there is any way for the system to lessen volatility then maybe it could be used by almost any establishment. Like for example a change in price is scheduled only per week maybe there is a better success on using it as a currency.

Nope, bitcoin did not fail as a currency instead bitcoin is the most succesful cryptocurrency. You can see bitcoin in different ways, as a money, as an investment or a tool for exchanging and trading. If you say bitcoin failed as a currency then you are wrong. Take a look at its price when it was starting until today

The bitcoin price is not stable, if bitcoin become stable maybe it might be possible that bitcoin will become currency, but for now, there's no chance that bitcoin will be used as currency.

According to the Bank Of England governor claims that bitcoin failed as a currency. They declare that bitcoin cannot be considered as a legitimate currency by traditional definitions but they added that it is still useful as a way to verify financial transactions in a decentralised way.

For now, BTC is not yet worthy to be a currency though the original plan was to be a currency. But BTC generates a huge amount of currency anyway which everyone having a BTC love it.
If the BTC become a currency, I guess the value of it will not reach as high as today.

Why would you think that? My opinion is that this cryptocurrency will soon break back into Olympus and will lead it because bitcoin is a rather valuable currency. And it is better to invest right now.

this is actually pretty correct. But we need to start somewhere and I believe that before people will start using bitcoin as currency in the first place, volatility won't stop.

This is just the beginning for Bitcoin and it has not been known by all the people of the world so it has not really been recognized as a currecy in all countries. But of course I'm one of those who believe that the day will come that Bitcoin will identify by many people and as a currency. Not now because Bitcoin is Volatile and it's not yet right to be a currency to use in multiple transactions.
