at first they were paying 1 or 2 more per day --- but since ant pool has been paying and the upgrade ---- things seems to have changed .....    try both and then see how u feel ---

or once i have the firmware working I will let you know how many per 24 hours !

then we can judge from each other which is working better ?>

any advice or help for a down miner who is spending too much time on this firmware update ??

nothing but error right away pretty much -- using files from bitmain -
tried on google chrome after safari did not work ?

not sure what else in could be ?

its a tar file and a MAC ... should it be a TAR.GZ ?           or am I maybe missing something --

ive had nothing but good luck with all other miners and firmware - but this one is giving errors ?

thx for any help

bless

I had the same issue on my MAC. in the end I used the same files from Windows and it worked the first time. the issue seems to be the MAC OS and something about this firmware that it doesn't like..

try the update from within VMware, Parallels or a Windows computer and it will work

i have a mac and if you use google chrome you don't have problem. Have answer on 2 topic for your problem . Its easy use google chrome and its fine . when have make update the file on bitmain don't work have use the link on this topic or other . And all working fine .

It's a .TAR.GZ file. Try using windows if you're having problems. Maybe mac devices don't like this file extension.

Mac by default is unzipping any compressed files just after download. Are you sure that you are uploading to antminer tar.gz file or just .tar file? Try to change default settings in your browser to be sure that you are uploading exactly the same file that you downloaded from bitmain support page.

This! I'm pretty sure thats te reason why its not working for you. The Mac unpack the file directly. Be sure your firmware file is a *.tar.gz! No chance for a different OS like windows or Linux? If not, try to download the firmware using "save as", then check the filename. It has to be a tar.gz file. Uploading this to the miner will work...

Instead of clicking the link when on a MAC using Safari. "Right" click and choose Download Linked File, that will download the file keeping it as a .gz and it will not automatically uncompress it. Then choose the .gz version of the firmware and all will be fine.

The miner doesnt get any further than the "startup" fase. Fans running slow and i think the miner does not get online. Therefore i cant find the ip.. any tips/tricks?

Try resetting - https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957

yep, this should be the next step. Take a pin or needle and hold it as long into the "Reset-Button/Hole" (without much force!) until you hear the beep and see the red light. This should reset the Miner to factory settings. However, in case you have disrupted the upgrade process with unplugging it i'am not sure if this might be enough.... Hope so. Let us kow what happened and how things worked out.
Tried to reset the miner but it didnt work, holding the reset-button for about a whole minute doesnt do anything. It doesnt respond and stays in the warming-up fase..
Do you have another solution?

Read this and locate your error.
https://support.bitmain.com/hc/en-us/articles/220872007-Possible-problems-for-Antminer-Troubleshooting-for-S7-S9-L3-?mobile_site=true&page=8

I readed a bit into it and think this is for  you:
 https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/2891

and a video about it from the bitmain support forum:
http://v.youku.com/v_show/id_XMTU0MDUwNTkzMg==.html?from=y1.7-1.2

Seems you have to manually flash your SD card.

Thanks for your help! I had contact with Bitmain and they told me that the control board is defective so they send me a new control board.
However it is strange that it happend during the upgrade, it probably has something to do with it..

I got my Bytom today, was worried too but once the wallet is fully synced then your deposit should appear.

Anyone know where there is an exchange that is trading the bytom mainnet tokens?

Anyone else not able to connect to antpool after the update? All my payments have been marked "paying" for a couple days now, I'm patient there, but since yesterday afternoon the pool is reporting I am not connected, while the B3 has been happily mining away at 1mh the whole time, reporting no errors...

EDIT: solved, perhaps. One of two things was required:

rebooting the miner a second time after the second update
deleting the password line (I had previous left the default "123" and had no problem, or one of the upgrades had added it, I honestly don't remember)

So if anyone else encounters this problem, I suggest multiple reboots and making sure the upgrades didn't change your settings in any way and/or your password field is accurate or blank. I do wish I had done one at a time so I would know which was the problem, and would play around to figure it out but I lost 15 hours of mining so I'm not touching a damn thing. Wink

which exchange supports the BTM mainet wallet?

I think he means where we can access the frequency. Like with other antminers, this update only increased the hashrate

maybe, not sure what is in his mind. But he asked for the "overclocking firmware" which at least now he has a link for.

How did you accomplish this?  There's no fan controller in the ant miner settings...

Gate.io have Bytom mainnet wallet & exchange live. 10% discount on trading fees when using this link - https://gate.io/ref/1600591

Have you successfully send BTM from your official bytom wallet to gate.io?  I'm trying to create a new "transaction" and getting all kinds of error messages.  Seems pretty straight forward but it isn't working.

Yeah worked for me perfectly, do you want to post a screenshot of the error

Profit drop to around 220 a month here? Wat happened? I thought they stop selling? 7-8 months to break even?

Selling 100 dollar coupons (8units expire 11th June, 14 units expire 1st july) and 125 dollar coupon (2 unit exp 30th June). Selling at 20% of value

It's 405 BTM a month at Antpool. GPU miners are joining in I guess. They will mine BTM as long as it's profitable.

I will like to know more about this bitminer and antminer stuff. Have been ignoring them thinking it was all a joke

Well, I think you should visit amazon.com (or ebay perhaps, not sure) as there were stockpiles of Bitmain AntMiner. It's the most effective way to mine Bitcoin, Litecoin, Ethereum, and other cryptocurrencies today.
