Thanks for the heads up but what a fucking nightmare.  Just barely sent about 400 BTM to gate.io cause it seemed legit to trade and now that I'm trying to withdraw it's just one hassle after another.  Need SMS support, needs KYC, on and on!  Withdrawl disabled for 24 hours "for your security".  WTF.  Just give me my fucking coins back....

Yeah, it's a mazo-experience filling expiring SMS code and 2FA I switched on thinking on replacing from time to time SMS codes with it. And now KYC "in 2 days". It's even worse with mobile application.

Well, I was able to submit a successfull withdrawl transaction, what a feat.  I'm super stoked about some random Chinese company having a picture of my passport though, and it only cost me ~$6 to do absolutley nothing.

You have my sympathy, but sometimes when I read about these issues, I can’t help but think how far we’ve actually come.
Ask me about my MTGOX account.  Cheesy

Sorry to sound like a brick, but that's exactly the reason why people that first read have allways an advantage. I mean who the hell is sending whatever currency to an exchange without checking first everything, including a small test transaction??

First thing on a new exchange is allways to check the rulews, withdraw fees and restrictions, easy as that.

No, You sound like everyone's general after the battle - yeah, sure,... with the Bytom there were plenty of exchanges to choose from for making simple ECRtoken -> mainnet swap...
Bytom launch was fuzzy as much as possible and still going in same manner.

How can I verify that my update went smoothly? I did the first upgrade with the Antminer-B3-2018-****.tar.gz and got a success message. Then I did the update_1000.tar.gz but it never finishes. Page just stays "Upload firmware image..." for over 10 minutes.

Anybody experience something similar?

I experienced the same thing when trying to update the firmware from a desktop that was on a wireless network. I switched to wired network and it worked. For 1 out of 4 B3s I own, I had to update the firmware couples time to get over 1k hash.

How do you got 4 B3s? The limit was just 1/order... do you used your family infos or something?

Lots of ways around that limit of 1 - they dont check very deeply. I was able to order 2 in two different accounts shipping to the same address

You can use different email addresses with same physical location as long as you can verify the account with it's own phone #(SMS). Bitmain doesn't care, or care to verify.

Yep... they could not prevent that, since it could be different people living in the same place.

It could be the second batch which they are testing, or a strange amount of GPUs starting to mine

Grabbed one a few hours before they sold out.  My only worry is that it's for one coin and one coin only.  So long as that coin doesn't flop, I imagine ROI won't be tough with such a low power consumption.

Just fyi, as this is an identical post to at least one other, and considering how long ago the first batch sold out, this post has been reported. If you are a genuine community member, I do apologize and contact the admins and let them know.

I think, he asked about coins in desktop wallet (not erc20 tokens).
I also have a question - how to transfer coins from bytom desktop wallet to exchange or backwards?

Plus if you're not ordering dozens it'd be really hard to verify anyway, as how do they know your roommate didn't also order one? Not advocating, just saying it was 1 per account, not household.
