Maybe not. Though the popularity and value of the Ethereum and bitcoin quite similar. So there has the chance to bit the bitcoin. But it will not easy to Bit. We know today's BTC and ETH are the potential currency and people have faith in this two coins. Though there have many differences between BTC and ETH. BTC is the first coin and its popularity is untold able. Who is the crypto lover they don’t think this currency without BTC? BTC take the one place on the people's mind so they don’t think without. On the other hand, Eth is rising, ETH start to take the people trust by giving value to the users. So we compare ETH with Bitcoin. Yes, it’s also possible to take the bitcoin position. But it takes time. If the bitcoin stop providing such facility and user are lose hope to the bitcoin than it may possible to overcome. So to tell Ethereum a threat to bitcoin is logical.

altough it is far away the distance for ethereum before it reached the bitcoin, there's a possibilities that it will become a threat in the bitcoin. we know that the ethereum is live only for 3 years. 2015 it start. and if we observed the happenings the ethereum is very fast to become as the 2nd most popular cryptocurrency in the world.the ripple and monero is lived early to the ethereum. so i see it is a threat

This is definitely a good observation but I would advise you to keep in mind the world is rarely that black and white.  The sets of functionality each posses are not disjoint! 

They attack different parts of the market AND they attack some of the same parts.  This makes them compete AND not compete.

if Ethereum had increased rapidly and increased to exceed Bitcoin's price. then Ethereum can be regarded as a threat to Bitcoin.

this is impossible . bitcoin is the currency of the cryptocurrency . from 2008 until now , it has been a reliable coin . it does not have major problems . it has been known by people all over the world . ether is still a young coin . it still has a long way to go .

The prince will dethrone the king on the eastern conference finals same as ethereum that will dethrone bitcoin in the next couple of years. Wether we like it or not the king will reach its limit. Mark my word. Trust the ethereum process!

Great comparison you have made. But we can't assume that ethereum would just take over bitcoin in the next couple of years. Bitcoin will have its limit but it doesn't mean that it is enough for ethereum to become the king of cryptocurrency

It will only take a while but ethereum will catch up with bitcoin. the problem we are having with bitcoin now is that w do not know who is behind the project and the coin and since we do not know the people behind it, then we do not know if they are still working on it to make it better, but with ethereum, there is always work being done on it to make it bigger and better than it is.

Ok.I do agree that eth is the competitor of btc. Price or value and popularity if btc are still higher than eth but investmrnt return, eth is higher and investors are more interested in eth than btc.

I dont think eth was such a threat to bitcoin, in my opinion these 2 could get along very well to support the markets of cryptocurrency. When their trends are positive, they can also brings positive impact in to other altcoins price. And also... vice versa!
