Each block is stacked on top of the previous one. Adding another block to the top makes all lower blocks more difficult to remove: there is more "weight" above each block. A transaction in a block 6 blocks deep (6 confirmations) will be very difficult to remove.

I see on the pool it shows a QBT/LTC exchange rate.. is this based on something or is it arbitrary? if it's based on something, I'm making quite a decent paycheck today lol

"and the v2 address they where sent from"

Where I see this?

The truth is that it is almost impossible to do this because of the way coins are stored in the wallet. Even trying to consolidate to one address through the block chain does not always work.

I just sent in my redemption for both the coins in the V2 pool and my personal stash, and I tried several methods of consolidation. In the end I consolidated the best I could and sent the transaction information with the request.

With small amounts it is more likely to work, but when trying to redeem over 600K coins it just does not work that way.

The normal method is to use the "sendfrom" command in the debug window or command line.

sendfrom <fromaccount> <ToCubitsAddress> <amount>

Again this is tricky, as coins in the wallet are stored in many different addresses you don’t see that the wallet keeps track of.

I have sorted through the V2 pool database and have records of what everybody is owed.

The problem is everybody has new addresses now. I will need to e-mail everybody with a balance to get their new V3 address.

I will start when I receive the V3 coins from Cassie.

Please go to the pool: http://qbtcoin.com

For instructions on how to redeem your V3 coins from the pool.

As for restarting the pool with V3:

If ahmed_bodi decides to keep his pool running, I will not be reopening the pool, at least not right away. If not, I will try to get the pool back up ASAP.

One pool is enough for now and quite honestly I am far behind in my other projects, also due to lack of funding I may be shutting down some of my VPS.

CCE is on the verge of collapse and I hope by getting some of the other projects finished  I can get the funds needed to keep running.

Make smaller transactions.
Try 100,000 or smaller.

If that doesn't help, close the client, delete the debug.log in your roaming folder and start it again.

May take a while to send 100k, had to send quite a few this way yesterday Tongue

Break it up into smaller transaction. I was only able to send about 25000 at a time when I was trying to consolidate to send to Cassie.

Remember inputs have to become outputs to merge. So if you are sending 100,000 when all your inputs are 10, it would require 10,000 inputs in the transaction on the block chain.

ahh ok,

i have one receive address in my wallet is this the address that will show up on the destination end?

im not too sure what you mean on inputs/outputs, if i send 100,000 then it places 10,000 inputs in the trasaction?  do you have any url/documentation where i can read up on this?

Lets say you were mining, and all your mining rewards were 10 coins. You now have a 10 coin input for every block you mined. IF someone sends you 200 coins, you now have a 200 coin input.

Now lets say you want to send somebody 500 coins.

You would send one output of 200 coins from the input you received for 200 coins.

You would  send thirty - 10 coin outputs (300 coins)  from the 10 coin inputs you received from mining. This makes a total of 31 inputs.

This would create a 500 coin input to whoever you are sending.

It works the other way also:

If the person who got the 500 coin input wants to send 200 coins to somebody:

They would create a 500 coin output that would be send to two addresses(Inputs)

A 200 coin input to the address they wanted to send to and a 300 coin input back to the sending wallet as change (To a new address in the wallet-all this record keeping is under the hood, so the user does not need to keep track)

dreamwatcher could i get a cryptsy api key for you? id like to make a donation since ive really been looking forward to cce3. i hope ive fixed the bugs in the pool so it will stay open but if it errors out (hopefully wont) then if worst comes to the worst then i guess closing is the only option.

Just a note to those trying to compile to QT version on Linux:

You will need to rename the file:
cubits3/cubits3/src/qt/Cubitsstrings.cpp

To:

cubits3/cubits3/src/qt/Cubitstrings.cpp

For it to compile.

Cubits v2 Redemption is now Closed. Any one who pm's me about v2 redemption will be ignored.
If I leave it open people will keep mining cubits v2 and take advantage of the system.
People who pm'ed me before 4am EST -5 UTC 11/26/2013 your redemption will still be processed.
Thank you for your understanding.
