Has some centralization risks.
Waste a lot of electricity and Hardware.
Provides no incentive to spend or keep the coins.

PoS
Impossible to counterfeit a block.
Not only big player get rewards.

After the security aspect GhostNodes + Staking is much more fair.

i see POS being an advantage for all kinds of investors either small or big everyone will be able to get a share of rewards.

Right only benefits I wonder why PoS still has a bad image.

Well after reading all of this it does indeed seem PoS is the answer...what made me laugh was I think DMZ said wallet UI would be postponed as they focus on the major changes needed for PoS, then he said actually the wallet UI may already be done   I've been impressed with the workrate of this team since I started following their progress with zoin.

Regardless of which way the team decide to go, be it POS or POW I fully trust that the team will make the decision based on what is best for the platform, not what is best for miners, speculators or anyone else. People need to understand that ultimately what is good for the platform will benefits everyone that holds NIX.

All great features but i'm more excited about the bigger picture.
With private smart contracts and side-chain integration NIX will be able to create its own ecosystem of DAPPs.
Think NEO, think ETH but with the option to utilise the most advanced privacy protocol to date.

The first dApp will be the DEX manager, I'm sure the team has more exciting plans for dApps. Also remember that Ghost Nodes (NIX MasterNodes) will earn transaction fees from the Ghost Protocol!

I can't wait for adoption and more visibility for NIX. All still looks very promising, not only on long term, but also short term.
